Sheer beauty and magic! While listening to this incredible track, I was thinking about the thousands of guitarists I've heard in my lifetime and I really do have to put Ribot near the top of the list. So many people only think of speed or technical abilities when assessing greatness, but that's so one-dimensional. While Ribot certainly has those elements to some degree, it's all the other intangibles that make him a god of the guitar. The use of space and suspense in his soloing is genius. Plus all the other things that are crucial, like gorgeous tone, feeling and expression, not being predictable with your next notes but rather to surprise and delight with something unexpected, and the ability to take you on a journey where you lose yourself in his solo and just wish it would never end. Few guitarists can do all that (some for sure, but it's a pretty short list). So thank you Mr. Ribot for all the wonderful music you've showered us with over the decades. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Lots of octaves played simultaneously (dyads?) played through the rig he has sounds ace. Anyone know what rig/amp Marc is going through?
