The guy who "shreds his punk rock sound in a garage band with his friends every night" was actually a semi finalist of The Voice of Germany 2018 and as well of The Voice of Germany Allstars 2020. He DOES however sing a lot of (classic) rock. :)

That whistle tone was downright amazing. Did you hear that slide on “you”?! It’s generally difficult to slide and sound good in regular registers, and she nailed it in a whistle tone. I’m more impressed the more I think about it. And she’s so clean that she’s almost singing staccato…man I’d love to jam with her. I could hardly get past the pitchiness of that first part in the last one to hear how the rest sounded, but I agree, around part 6 or 7 it was covered up enough to enjoy the final bit.
@venomous2die4 Жыл бұрын
Listen even closer, she also does a slide on the "like" also. I'm not pitch perfect or anything but I'm very sensitive to high pitch noises and caught both.

Honestly? I love the dissonance that shows up when a few parts sing the same notes for a bit. It draws me back into the moment if I start losing focus because I've heard roughlythe same thing a few times in a row. ...Then again, I'm still coming down from a free jazz phase I've been in for a few months, so that's probably affecting my taste on this a bit.

Please do a reaction video to original studio version of "you take my breath away" by queen. I'm pretty sure all the voices on it are Freddie mercury multi tracking himself (just like the harmony at the start of borap is all Freddie). Speaking of Freddie, my favorite Freddie "growl" is the whiffenpoofs version from the sing off. Even Mika disappoints on the "Freddie ".

Just a bit of trivia, four Filipina sisters started singing together in 2001, with the dream of raising their family of 8 out of poverty. They were called the Cercado Sisters (their last name). Later for a short while they went by the Gollayin Sisters(their mothers maiden name). Before competing in Superstar K6 in 2014 they changed their name to M.I.C.A, an acronym of their first names, Mylene, Irene, Celina, and Almira. They were about to give up on a music career when a family friend suggested X Factor UK. Their application was accepted and in 2015 they flew to Britain where they had to complete a couple of private auditions before being accepted to appear on the televised series. As they waited to audition they were told their was already a UK singer named MIKA and they had to change their name immediately. The name 4th Power was chosen. Their audition with over 183 million views is the most viewed X Factor video ever. Before the live shows it was discovered that 4th Power was already copyrighted by a male band, and the sisters had to change their name again!! The name 4th Impact was chosen!!! Faith and family come first for the sisters. They have overcome every obstacle, while remaining true to their beliefs and have never given up on their dream. They recently signed ShowBT as a management company, a division of Sony, who also manages SB19. Their brand new original is scheduled to drop on the 25th of this month!! I hope you will consider reacting to it!!!
