The one where writers have to come out with ideas very quickly, actors (sometimes non-professional actors) have less than a week to study, read from a teleprompter and are allowed to break character, improvise and laugh? "Skit" fits perfectly here. It wouldn't for some of the most complex bits or for digitl shorts but it surely does here and that's why it's very commonly use to talk about SNL with absolutely no mean intent. Are they frivolous? Of course, with rare exceptions. Are they non-well-thought-of? Yes, in an absolute sense, not for their category.

The "defiantly bilingual" episode of SNL (as The Atlantic called it) was brilliant, perfecto, bound to be a classic! Bad Bunny turns out to be natural actor (as well as real easy on the eyes), and Marcello's scripts were hilarious. The sketches without subtitles didn't need them, though I re-watched them with closed caption just to get all the Spanish. Great work by SNL's costume and props people, as always (a live turkey and a llama!). Oh, and Marcello is just adorable -- great SNL casting addition. I look forward to more Spanish and Spanglish bits.
