Finally, proving to not just yourself but the world that YOU are the greatest park owner to ever exist and others are simply a tool to reach that goal. In real life, the roots of the trees will certainly get in the way. - The underground in rct world is basically a giant void, since when the underground path with the guest on is deleted, the guest will fall into the abyss and disappear. - In rct world, you can build paths and rides at the water level without having to worry about that path or ride being submerged. The underlying issue here (and behind other weirdness like the lack of a day/night cycle) is that people generally don't want to play a game that takes real-world years to achieve anything but they also don't want to play a game where everything is a blur. So you end up with time distortion and that in turn leads to financial distortion. RCT tries to keep prices paid by guests somewhat realistic, which along with the time distortions means that construction has to be unrealistically cheap.
@nthgth2 жыл бұрын

Here's another one: If one car of a coaster derails upon reaching the end of the track, all the cars will derail ... even if the first car just barely makes it off the top of a vertical spike. The derailed car will explode violently immediately when it leaves the rails (as coaster trains are known to do, of course), then the next of the train will be sucked into the explosion and explode as well. Then the next, and the next. Explosions kind of work like chain lifts. Fortunately, you can save the rest of the train from this grim fate if you spot the derailment and close the coaster in time. The train will then be reset and only the guests in already-exploded cars will be affected. The rest will escape miraculously and get off with a cheer. Logically.

You mentioned in the previous video that guests will stay in your park for very long times, or forever if they can't reach the exit. But time in general is a strange concept in the game: there is no day-night cycle. Some months of the year are missing. No other concept of time exists but the date. Tens (or hundreds? Thousands?) of years harm neither guests nor scenery (especially nature), various rides nor staff. And yet, the game does count time in seconds, minutes and hours for various in-game stats. Build an enormous, ultra extreme excitement rollercoaster that surely breaks multiple records? That's cool- but you know what pulls in more guests? 2 identical 5x12 coasters! Oh, and that giant ride that probably contains an order of magnitude more steel? Yeah, it's worth less than those rides combined. Hell, make a small coaster that kills anyone who rides it through brutal G forces? Yeah that's probably worth more too!

Some more logical breaks: 1. Paths can only be built at 90° angles in the XY-plane, and 45° between heights on the Z-axis. The same applies for land slopes. 2. After mowing, grass grows back unrealistically fast. 3. Guests only like music when an organ is playing it. 4. No matter how ugly or otherwise bad-looking your scenery is, guests will think it's great. 5. Wooden rollercoasters can perform vertical loops, despite both games being released before that was possible in real life. 6. All rides of a specific type look exactly the same and are made by one manufacturer (e.g., Intamin has its own coaster type called a "Hyper Coaster", and it looks very different compared to the Vekoma-inspired coaster in the game). 7. Security guards cannot escort unruly guests out of the park. 8. No matter how much guests need to go to the bathroom, they will ALWAYS make it in time without soiling themselves. 9. November, December, January, and February don't exist. 10. Guests apparently hate tunnels, as primarily underground designs of go-karts & transport ridss get their stats reduced.

for the 5th point, there was around the years 2000 to 2009, Son of Beast. A wooden coaster that not only have a loop, but also reached a height to be considerated a "Hyper" and for the 9th, most park in more northen reagions aren't open between November to March

I could imagine that tired guests drown slower because they have a set amount of loops to go through with the drowning animation before they actually drown. And the slowed down tired guest takes more time to go through the loops (same animation, but slower) and thus drowns later than the energized guest.

Guests have bladders of steel, and have no free will. You can charge $20 for the bathroom, and most guests will eventually leave the park as a result, but if you put a No Entry sign right at the exit to make a one way path, they will obey it, and never ever piss themselves.

For the handyman, keep in mind It's no ordinary broom, it's a magic broom that can presto chango into a lawnmower, water bucket, and infinite trash bag generator at whim. Real talk, what guests are willing to pay for certain things is crazy. A fantastic coaster a couple decades old is valued like a gumball, but new, unspecial coaster is $20.
@DacuberTM Жыл бұрын
-every roller coaster can be fixed by swinging a hammer madly onto the track -you don't have to hire park staff to run the rides in your park -guests will pay €20 for a simple umbrella -none of the guests ever bring any belongings into the park -none of the coasters ever require track/support maintenance to ensure they don't corrode -guests won't go on certain rides unless there's another guest to go along with them -you, as park owner, get to decide the names of your guests, with some names doing weird things. -no matter how simple or complex the research, it always takes pretty much the same amount of time -you can have a negative balance without any rent -you can build 10 of the same ride and no one bats an eye

About the energized guests drowning faster. I haven't looked at the code but I would guess it has something to do with energized guests being able to perform actions faster than tired ones and that "drowning" was implemented as an action and the devs simply didn't think to add a special case to invert the logic for that action.
