For christmas i got the book miss peregrine's home for peculiar children and no joke it is one the best books i've ever read (and i've read a lot of books) I highly recommend it, it was so captivating and visual i couldn't put it down! Also i love your videos they are my absolute favourite x

So far this month and the very end of last I picked up, Alice in Wonderland, The Three Musketeers, Paper Towns, The Truth About Forever, Six of crows, Crooked Kingdom, Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Princess, The Grisha trilogy, and Gemini. I know I skipped over Clockwork Prince but they didn't have it when I went so I just got the first and third. I've been wanting to read more older and classic books so that's why I got Alice in Wonderland and the Three Musketeers.

I read a retelling of Sleeping Beauty that was less of a retelling and more of a sequel. It was Sleeping Beauty's Daughters by Diane Zahler. I think it's a children's book. It wasn't fantastic, but it was for the most part an easy, enjoyable read, if you're ever curious about Sleeping Beauty stories.

There are three fantastic Sleeping Beauty retellings you should check out. Robin McKinley wrote one called 'Spindle's End' and it's wonderful (She also did two retellings of Beauty and the Beast). Another one is 'Enchantment' by Orson Scott Card. This is actually in my top 10 or 20 books ever. It uses a lot of Russian fairytales and his princess is tough and smart. The last retelling is 'Beauty Sleep' by Cameron Dokey. It's a quick read, very sweet, and the princess decides her fate (a couple of times).

Aww you should have picked up the illustrated version of boy in striped pjs! I just read the book last year- really recommend it. And the film as well although despite the film following the same story it's told In a different- I guess a more appropriate way- to the book with a different atmosphere. Through the book you're reading through the mindset of a boy but the film you're just watching the boy.

For Christmas, I received two Disney retellings by Liz Braswell - Once Upon a Dream (Sleeping Beauty) and A Whole New World (Aladdin). They are dark and twisty and I'm a fan of anything Disney :D Also, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas was a much better movie than book. I definitely recommend watching it; it's so heartbreaking.

You should look at "The Map of Time". It's not YA and it's kind of science fiction, but it's really amazing and well written. It's a series, but it's really funny and engaging; its hands down one of my favorite books.

Don't know if anyone will see this, but in A Thousand Nights, the males (aka the ones with all the power) have names, while the women (those without the power) remain nameless. So yes, the name thing is intentional by E.K Johnson as a subtle setup for the story.
