Today is March 2, 2024. It's beautiful crisp, but sunny day, perfect for a hike. My mom, dad and I went for a hike in Panthertown Valley. Panthertown Valley is in two western North Carolina counties, Transylvania and Jackson. We parked at the Cold Mountain parking lot and hiked on the Pantertown Valley Trail, Devil's Elbow Trail and Riding Ford Trail.
I highly recommend purchasing the Burt Kornegay's "A Guide's Guide to Panthertown". I purchased my map at The Hub in Pisgah Forest, NC. However, he does have a website where you can purchase one directly from him.
Transylvania County is known as "The Land of the Waterfalls". Panthertown Valley is home to a number of waterfalls. We visited two today (well 3 if you consider we only stood at the top of one of them.) We visited Jawbone Falls and Elbow Falls.
I know this channel is primarily a sewing channel with a little bit of life thrown in. I hope to include more hiking in future videos. I hope you enjoy this little excursion.
Today, I wore a recent sewing make. I made the Friday Pattern Co. Bateau Top. This pattern is a free or donate what you can afford sewing pattern. I will share more about this top in my video that is part of the #sewfrugal24 vlogging tour. #sewfrugal24 is hosted by Ruan @theyorkshiresewgirl and Sam @Frugalisama .
