The thing about sheds is, no matter how big they are you'll soon fill them up and start wishing you had more space. My plot came with a 5 metre shipping container, and it is absolutely bulging! If you're anything like me (and this is the first of your vids I've seen, so I have no clue if you are) less space might actually work better as it almost forces better organisation and less hoarding of things that "might be useful one day".

I think we’re all guilty of finding things to fill our spaces with :) I’m going to check sizes again and see what would be better and what I want the shed for. Thanks for watching 👍

Definitely doing flowers / bulbs under the tree - need to pick some up now. Gonna re measure and make sure I def have space for the shed and polytunnel. 👍

i liked the idea when you said the 7 by 5 with the door at the end open to the plot with the polytunnel next to it so you can see it from out the window in the shed. that way the height is all at the back, and you could have some more beds in front of the shed and tunnel to make good use of that area too. have fun with it buddy 👍

Morning Mark, the only fruit we grow are blueberries 🫐 and strawberries 🍓. I tried red currant once but we didn’t like them so I gave the bush to my sis in law. My broad beans are like yours a bit iffy 😅 but soon we can do our regular beans 🫘. Same my elephant garlic is crap. Defo flowers and a wee path would be convenient. Lots on the go Mark it’s exciting times ahead, have an awesome week, Ali ☔️🇨🇦

Hi Ali. Lots on the go indeed. I think flowers would look good under the tree as well - help with pollinators. Gonna be sowing quite a bit indoors this week hopefully.

Nice plot tour 👍 Now is the time to make plans. I can hear a lot of background noise like in my garden you must be in the middle of the city as well. When I work on the allotment I completely ignore it. I just realize that it is there when I watch my videos.

Tbh I’ve never noticed the background noise. Maybe I’m used to it or just ignore it like yourself. Thankfully, when I visit the site there’s not many people around.

I think 7/5 and a poly is definitely the way to go either angle should work but window should face the sun to allow seedlings on it if needed

Shed and poly would be the way to go. We went back to the plot to put tape down for measurements and I think I’ll actually have space for an 8/6 and poly - if my measuring is right 👍

Am a new subscriber, but look 6 months behind as garden in New Zealand, we are having an incredible spring, broadbeans were in tunnelhouse too long, frosts were mixed 2 weeks cold then 4 weeks of a warm windy weather, then 20mm of snow, then warm winds again. My rhubarb usually is the same as yours in spring, but we are harvesting it.

Our season wasn’t the best here, but maybe the next spring will be about a good harvest.

If it was my plot I’d go with the 7x5 shed with the window facing towards your beds and a poly tunnel. As for the sink, I’d keep it for washing pots, tools and getting the thick of it off the veg you harvest, maybe just situate it more out of sight. Under the Apple tree I’d put a few primroses/primula that don’t need a lot of care/nutrients as I would imagine the tree will take a lot out of the ground. Deb

Thanks for the suggestions Deb. Never thought of using the sink as a cleaning station 👍

🐝Thanks for the great video🌻 I rather go for a smaller shed and a bigger tunnel ;) Because well Pollytunnel means more growing options.
@GrowingWithPlot21

I didn’t think about that option. I think I’ll need to go look at the sheds again to measure up and think about what space I have 👍
