I love your chatty videos because they really show us your thought process and I think you're such a thoughtful person. I like hearing about the rationale between switching up the resets every month, I like hearing about your goals and why you want to hit them, and I like hearing your opinions on books even when they're not a genre I like! I'm sorry February was a hard month, but I'm excited for your challenge and excited for your better days that are surely coming. I wrote this down a while ago and I've been saying it to myself frequently about winter, but also about bad times in general: "this earth has seen the rotation of many winters. like clockwork, there is always the thawing of spring." xoxo

I didn’t accomplish really anyyy of my goals in February, and that’s okay. I have appreciation for the good moments, but I’m counting it as a write off. It already feels like all of my friends are coming out of hibernation and I feel more hopeful and excited about my goals and life overall.

I started reading A Little Life and barely made it through half of it last month. I did listen to 7 audiobooks including fantasy, romance, and thrillers so that kept the flow going through the disaster that was February. I've centred my March goals around home organisation and decluttering and I'm hoping it will push me out of the slump I am in.

I can understand that. It's about the creator of the North Face brand. After he sold it and decided to become a land conservationist. Very environmentally focused but very inspiring and uplifting to read. There's a documentary named Wild Life about the same thing, on Disney Plus. But thanks for the response 🩵

although i’m sure That Time I got drunk and saved a demon is stellar- I wouldn’t call that a cozy fantasy bc cozy fantasy features a noticeable lack of violence and/or mature content. So spice on a cozy fantasy would no longer make it a cozy fantasy! Just an FYI since I know the lack of mature content is a big selling point of the sub-genre for a lot of people ❤
@CarterSullivan7 ай бұрын
Ironically it's one of the most reccomended books in the Reddit cozy fantasy group which is how I found out about it! I talked about this pretty in depth in the dedicated cozy fantasy reading vlog - but I'd probably categorize it as cozy romantasy but I feel like when it comes to what is or isn't cozy fantasy (and subgenres/tropes of it) I think it really depends on the person. But I totally see your point of view on it! I'm in a few cozy fantasy reddit groups and alot of people in the group still consider it cozy fantasy! I think it just depends on the person and what they are looking for- to me cozy fantasy is just low stakes, slice of life sapphic vibes (spicy or not)!

I know you’re not a good channel but would love an episode on what you guys eat in a month / keeping grocery bill low
@CarterSullivan7 ай бұрын
I've talked abit about this abit here and there in vlogs before! For dinner- we mainly do meal kits (Hello Fresh, Chefs Plate, Good Food) 3-4 times a week for dinners which ends up being cheaper for us now that we aren't super close to many grocery stores! We rotate which service we use since they are pretty much always offering 30-50% off your boxes. For the other days of the week we base our dinners around what we have in the freezer. We buy mainly clearance meats/proteins that are a few days out from expiring because its 30-50% off and just freeze it for meals. So for example if we have chicken breasts in the freezer, I will typically pair it with a pasta dish since we stock up on non-perishables when they go on sale. For breakfast/lunch- we are both creatures of habit and eat the same breakfast/lunches daily- we literally just shop whatever is on sale and base our snacks, meals around that. Our biggest expenses are probably milk and yogurt since we both eat high protein. We both do sandwiches/wraps for lunch so we find whatever lunch meat/cheese is on sale. We also started making homemade bread which has saved us some money too. For snacks- we buy frozen fruit because it's cheaper than fresh fruit (in the winter) and pick 2-3 vegetables a week based on what's on sale. We always have bananas/apples since those are the lower cost fruits. Same goes for fruit in the summer, we ONLY buy whatever is on sale so one week it may be strawberries and the next it's blueberries. Same with snacks- crackers, granola bars etc we just buy what's on sale. Not sure if $400-$500 is a low grocery bill for 2 people in Canada but hope it was helpful!
