The video shows the last two stations of the four-day "march to commemorate" the 116 members of the Bundeswehr who died in foreign operations and recognized missions, as well as the more than 3,300 members of the Bundeswehr who died in the line of duty. The march had started at the Lehnin military training area, went through the forest of remembrance in Schwielowsee near Potsdam, and today led over the Great Star / Victory Column and the Republic Square in front of the Reichstag to the commemoration event in the Bendler Block at the Bundeswehr Memorial. Thomas Lagenstein, the brother of Tobias Lagenstein, a sergeant of the military police who died in Afghanistan in 2011, also has his say in the video.
