I enjoy the wrap ups because it’s nice knowing your thoughts and could let new viewers get an idea of what you reading tastes are. Maybe you could include them in the monthly reset videos and recap the ones you read and talk about the ones you really enjoyed?

Your description of the darkest part of the forest does remind me of the vibe I got from the first book in the modern faerie tales series. The whole time I was reading tithe the little movie in my head was looked like the labyrinth and the dark crystal. Super nostalgic, dark and full of little critters

I recently saw a short form wrap up which was really fun and made it not feel repetitive, she would just hold the book up and give it a yay, meh, or nah. It could be fun since most of the books you do show in vlogs, but then you get the satisfying feeling of wrapping up the monthly books

I like the monthly Wrap Up videos! March was my slowest month ever for reading! I only read 3 books, which put me WAY behind my reading goal of 100 books for the year. I'm a teacher, so I'll make it up during the summer. I read: A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell-LOVED and will continue series), Happy Place (4 stars), and Shadow of the Falls (Sweetwater Falls Mystery series-5 stars).

I also started mistborn era 2 last month and just finished book 3 - it ramps up SO MUCH between book 1 and 2. Shadows of Self is miles above Alloy in quality and really Sanderson at his best. And I was really relieved that Wayne got less annoying/felt like more of an actual person as well (Sanderson’s humor does not always hit and I was also very nervous haha). Can’t wait to hear what you think of the rest of the series!

About wrap ups, I watch all of your videos and I am a Patron, so they’re a bit repetitive for me and therefore not my favorite videos. However, I can see how someone who doesn’t watch all of your videos would appreciate an all-in-one catchup with you. Plus book recs! Maybe a quarterly wrap up of your favorites with explanations. Then, rapid fire your flops/meh books. I will watch everything no matter what 😆

I would say if you only want to do quarterly just do the books you enjoyed the most. Hopefully that helps and I also enjoy monthly wrap ups because they are like book recommendations. My favorite books that I read in March were City of Ghosts and Flowerheart. My least favorite book was City of Fallen Angels because I felt like nothing happened in the book. Happy reading!

Okay Katie, I have two series to recommend based on your description of the Veronica Speedwell series. Phillip Pullman’s Sally Lockheart series and Mick Finley’s Arrowood series. The Sally Lockheart series is middle grade? But still fun and Arrowood is more adult were Arrowood is a contemporary of Sherlock Holmes and think he’s a bit of an idiot who only deals with the upper class’ problems. Hope you enjoy if you decide to pick up either series.

My favourite books from March were Love and other words by Christina Lauren, the romance in that book is unparalleled, also I cried like the last 30 mins I read and it ripped my heart out 😭😭 But it was SO SO good, 5 stars. Also All the dead lie down by Kyrie McCauley was really really good, it's a gothic horror with a sapphic romance. I loooved these two books 🥰

I also read Faebound in March and felt the same way - there’s lots I liked about it but the romance aspect fell way short (particularly the enemies to lovers). Crimson Moth/Heartless Hunter was such a good read for me and Girl, Goddess, Queen was fun!

Wrap ups are my favorite videos. I watch only KZbinrs with the same taste. So that is where I get my book recommendations from. If you don't like filming wrap ups maybe you can just record a short film right after finishing a book. At the end of the month you can cut these little films together.😊😊

Can I ask a q about Veronica Speedwell? I started reading the first one and was put off by how much of a know it all Veronica is and DNF’s it. Is this part of her character development or does she stay like that? Cuz the premise of A Grave Robbery sounds dope and I kinda wanna read it 😂

The romance was my least favorite part of Faebound; especially the main one, because it was WAY too soon given the feelings between the two of them. For the magic: the lore...chapters? interludes?...explains that the gods gifted the Elves with divination (wisdom) and the Fae with magic. Elves are able to "use" magic because their drums are made from the skin of the obeah, the animals that bind to the fae. Without those skins, the Elves have no real offensive magic. (I'm also reading The Dead Romantics now and can confirm, def a spring spooky romance)

Aw I missed the "if you're feeling shady". Personally I love wrap ups, but if you don't want to be filming them maybe try to at least find a compromise? You could do a shorter video talking about books that weren't covered in vlogs for example whenever you feel like you have enough of them.

You poor young people who don't believe in love at first sight. What about Romeo and Juliet. I fell in love at first sound. I heard his voice, and something went through me.
@ririschannelx
@ririschannelx 3 ай бұрын
Romeo and Juliet were idiots that were ready to die for each other after knowing each other for a week and put their interests before their own family that cared about them. They both die which makes their behaviour pointless and immature. It’s a tragedy. Have no idea why it’s considered a romance. There’s nothing romantic about dying over someone you met the other day. It’s idiotic.
