Yeah, I was born in late 1987, so just barely missed the last ACC tournament win. Undergrad was 2005-2009, so this has been a magical season for me. Shout out to the women’s team getting to the Elite Eight too!

Been a fan of NC State since 82, Jimmy V an the gang made a magical run to the title. Been waiting a long time for a repeat! I'm loving this magical run too, Burns is a once in a decade player, reminds me of a mix of Moses Malone an Charles Barkley he's fun to watch for sure. But the whole team is loaded with special talent, they are all in the zone as well as the coaching staff, they've got their eyes on the prize!! 🏀🏆❤ Their all heart don't give up play is amazing and inspiring. 💪😁🔥

If they manage to win it all it will be the greatest season in college basketball history. Movies don't even dare write a script like this because it just doesn't happen. Confidence and momentum is off the charts.

Facts. The 1983 season was before there were 64 teams in the NCAA tournament, and they only had to win three ACC tournament games to get the bid. And that team was ranked mid teens in both the coaches and AP polls.

@@jacobrichardson1455 Chicago is a good candidate and maybe you are right but also remember part of NC State cinderrella run includes ACC tournament which was almost as impressive as a Final Four run in it of itself. It's at least as impressive as an Elite Eight considering State beat three tournament teams including a 1 and 4 seed in the final three games. This is way more impressive than winning a small conference like Loyola or Florida Atlantic or some of the teams named.

I grew up between Duke and UNC...... sorry Tarheels lost but am proud of them for another great year!...... Now pulling for the Blue Devils at Duke! My dad played for Duke in 1944 & '45. They beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl ....football. Yes....they had a great team in 44-'45! Went both ways back then....offense & defense. He was quite tackle and weighed just 215lbs!. But they went both ways...offense and defense!. No 400 pounders playing that game! Smashmouth!

Burns sorta reminds me of Jokic. Hes big, not that fast, limited but somehow gets the job done. He brings the team together with his style of play. If hes not scoring, hes passing or assisting a scoring play. There will be so much attention on Burns that he will need to use his options. Allow Burns to be the playmaker as a big man. Also, he needs to watch his fouls because without Burns, they have no chance against UConn.

NC State fans insist it is their D, but of the 27 missed 3s the vast majority were open looks. Saw a Stat that during regular season, opposing teams shot 35% from 3 vs NC St, but in tourney it is 24%. They will need Purdue to shoot equally badly to have a shot.

NC state just hammered Marquette, but that’s. not surprising. Marquette’s been quite shaky. NC state owns all the ACC teams right now, except for maybe Clemson. They’ll probably beat Duke again because they have the confidence to do it since they’ve done it before and likey knows all Duke’s weaknesses and will outmart them again. NCstate knows all there weakness and likely has confidence to beat them and outsmart them again. Seems like they own many of the good teams
