If i might offer a bit of unsolicited advice, it sounds like your too focused on the technical aspects of the work. My own approach to Marco's videos are to dive into them twice. The first watch is purely listening, working ro visualize the work, as described, and taking in the theory parts, both spoken, and implied, so i can come to an understanding of how i would execute the work, if the script was the only thing i had to go off of. Once i have a clear image in my head, of process and result, i come back, and compare it to what's actually being worked on. Some people are all about "trusting the process," and if all your looking to do is ape someone else's results, it'll almost get you there, but there's something to be said for interrrogating the process, as well. If you understand the "how," but don't really grasp the "why," you're going to get stuck when you want to get an idea out of your head, and onto the mini. If, on the other hand, you have a firm grasp on the "why," the "how" becomes irrelevant, because you can plan your approach based on the skills you have, and/or need to develop.

Very cool to see your proces of making the plinth and basing. Would definitely be interested in seeing more of that! You said on one stream that you haven't put a lot of time on your basing you did for video's, because you tend to keep them simple. Sounds like something you could expand on. Diorama building could be interesting for streams (or video's) as well.

Thanks for this Marco. I've been pondering how to approach a minidio of a 70's Batman standing on a rooftop illuminated by moonlight and streetlight. Obviously, I will have less intense yellow from below than your model (although the finished result looks great) but for the moonlight effect I will be closely following what you did. Now it's time to expand the paint collection with more contrast/speed paints!

That was super inspiring and made me want to try the process on my miniatures… I have a question that maybe could give you an idea for another video: I saw you using Acrylic Gouaches, why did you prefer them over regular acrylic colors or other kind of paints? It would be nice to have a video dedicated to that kind of paint since almost nobody in the world of miniature painting did that!

Hey, Marco. I really enjoy your tutorial videos. You’re better with my language than most Brits! I’m a military modeller and I like to bring some understated drama to my aircraft and military scenes-your techniques push me to try new things, which is great. I now use oils a lot thanks to you. So thanks for the great work and inspiration! I have a trivial question, please? I’m an old guy and I do the ‘small work’ under a large lighted magnifying glass. I find it better than goggles. Problem is that the butt end of paint brushes sometimes knock against the lens and jog my work. Is there a reason that the handles are so long? Will I lose something if I cut them down to maybe the length of a pencil? I’m afraid to try it with my brushes!

I have a quick question in regards to paints. The only real space I have for painting is in the room I sleep, I know that Oil and Enamel paints are extremely dangerous and release dangerous fumes however does this also apply to acrylic paints used for miniature painting including Kimera, Warcolors and Scale 75 artist colours? I also live with someone with Copd, that results in breathing problems.

Grazie in anticipo!

@@MrAlexxx91 Grazie mille!
