He is the biggest blues talent of these days. Cant stop listen to this. The voice, the spirit, the groove, the whole thing is just superb. Keep up the good work Marcus!

The best thing about his amazing solo is that it was full improvisation. Just look at every Dyin live by Marcus King, he never played the same solo.

The way he fluidly and articulately switches between scales and modes is just incredible. He’s a born jazz man who plays blues

in fairness there are a lot of Marcus King videos doing well. This same song, Dying, played solo on Duane Allmans actual 1958 Gold Top Les Paul has 950,000 views

Thanks for posting, there's something that sets Marcus King apart from the many Blues virtuosos of today, I believe that if Charlie Patton or Robert Johnson would listen to this, they would love it

I completely agree with Buzsics Laci. This guy has the total package like no one before him. The voice is amazing - the soulfulness of Gregg Allman but with even more range and versatility. His guitar playing is also second to none in rock n roll. Warren Haynes can't touch this guy, and he's damn good. Songwriting is very strong, though he's focused more on creating jazz inspired movements than hooks. If he were to team up with an amazing songwriter like Jeff Tweedy or Chris Stapleton, it would be beyond this planet.

He just finished touring with Chris Stapleton a few weeks back. Maybe great thing for the future.

Round Eye Media it's crazy saying this but I think he's better than Stevie Ray Vaughn! He's probably just as good as a guitarist but he definitely has more soul.

@@B-Rockabilly Slow the fuck down. The kid is great. He's no Stevie Ray. Give him some time.
@gabrielm.45545 жыл бұрын
Ryan Chase he’s Marcus King, he’s different and he’s unique. I hate when folks make this some sort of competitive thing. He also doesn’t really have many SRVesque licks at all... what a fucking diminishing thing to say “SrVs ChILd is soo GoOd... duuuuuuurrrrrrr” he sounds waaaaaay more like Brother Duane, Haynes and the Wes Montgomery influence is very hard to miss.
