My goodness, I can't stop listening to this song...never knew a single electric guitar on its own can punch so deep combined with vocals that match every word in the song. I am so glad I discovered ur music...this is music and song writing that is timeless, especially a young man in the middle of current modern main stream music scene which is barely music at all most of the time. Rare gem. So glad u exist...

I always come back to this, it's my favorite version. My wife and I bumped into you on the street after a long hard performance at the House Of Blues in Houston, Texas. I know you were tired, and I didn't want to hold you up from getting on the tour bus, but I just had to tell you how amazing you guys were. I even got to speak with J.J. who, after playing with a trumpet in one hand, and a tambourine in the other simultaneously, said he had a headache. Y'all blew me away that night. I've always loved the music, and listened to you on road trips where I was driving the semi tractor trailer on long hauls, it just sets the mood- To hear you live though? That just takes the cake! Huge fan here brotha, you truly are a Hard Working Man!

I've listened to a lot of Marcus King and honestly feel he's one of the most naturally gifted guitarists I've heard. Jimi Hendrix Dimebag Darrell had it - playing the same chords as everyone else but making it sound... More. Coupled with that is the fact that Marcus' vocals are just meant for blues/jazz rock and what a hell of a combination. From what I've heard from dyin, Rita is gone, homesick and every other great track I've heard so far, he's not only a great singer and guitarist, but a great lyricist and general musician. It was no surprise to me when I read that he schooled in jazz music - his songs have a complexity in them from clearly hails from that schooling. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon his music and genuinely cannot wait to see him live. So much more to give; it's gonna be a ride.
