I've been playing guitar and singing solo for 25 years, and I can't rightfully explain just how incredibly difficult it is to do what MK is doing here. Just him and his guitar, no effects, one take, and the execution is simply flawless. Not sure I've ever seen a better combo of songwriting, vocal character, and axe chops in someone under 30. Just incredible and soul-restoring to know there are savants like this out there...

The real deal, my buddy got to perform with him at Clapton’s festival last year and that was the first time I saw him live. Fools I tell you that don’t understand brilliant guitar playing and phrasing. Not too mention quite a breath of fresh air not just vocally but when it comes to the song writing aspect. My buddy knows him and I went to see them perform together at a fest in Texas last year and wow I been an even bigger fan since. It was awesome it was just them two and guitars it was great. He’s one of the players that definitely rubs off on my own playing.

I was playing apple radio on a small speaker on my balcony one night that I couldnt sleep when suddenly, this song comes on. My wife came out and found me listening to this by myself and asked if I was depressed or something so I told her to sit and listen with me because then she would would understand. I started the song over and neither of us said a single word the entire time it was playing. I immediately took to youtube and found this version...I'm hooked.

I first heard MK playing a guitar at “Norm’s rare guitars” a few years ago. Think he’s a kid now, a few years ago his voice was lagging behind his playing. It appears that now they’re catching up w/each other. This young man is the real McCoy!

I'm 65 years old. My first memories of rock and roll was The Beatles' She loves You. I've lived through all the greats from Harrison and Richard to Jimi and Duane to Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eddie Van Halen and too many more to name, and this guy's name needs to be put on the list. His babysitter as a kid was his dad's amp and his granddad's guitar while his dad worked 2nd shift to earn a living, . Thank god it wasn't Xbox and "Call Of Duty".

Discovered Marcus King at the Carter Vintage Guitars channel performing with Billy Strings on a couple videos. Loved him ever since. We featured him as one of "Ten Guitarists You Should Know...But Likely Don't" on our channel and he's on numerous playlists now as well. What a bright future and we look forward to anything new from Marcus. Fantastic voice, brilliant guitarist and fine songwriter for a young man in his mid 20's.
