Marcus Miller composed Hannibal and produced the Amandla album.He also composed Tutu and other music on the album. Miles was a great artist and stylist but a lot of music attributed to being his compositions were composed by others. Ask Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock.

This synergy across the generations around Marcus Miller is just mesmerizing. His magic bass follows me since the seventies, Federico Pena impressed me especially with his intro to that unforgettable "Run for Cover" in The Java Festival 2010 together with bro George Duke, and then Christian Scott in Montreux 2019. This is simply a masterpiece. So well executed and everyone just took their time. Honestly my favorite Miles Davis records are the ones that he did with Marcus Miller. Marcus is a wonderful musician, producer, and composer. I've seen him live and it was insane!

I absolutely love Christian Scott I discovered him many years ago at Sweet Lorraine's Jazz Supper Club in New Orleans! I was blown away when it was stated to me that he was only 21 yrs old. It was that night when I was informed that Christian is the nephew of the "Great Musician Donald Harrison! Christian is Years beyond his age! He is another remarkable musician from New Orleans! Please continue to make New Orleans proud!

Amazing. Captivating. Transforming. This Trumpet and Bassline takes me and puts me in Another World outside of this City. I can almost see the dark night with city lights in the underbelly and alleyways of this corner of a City where the tentacles nightlife reach. Where is this Place ? I know it's out there, hidden yet, Alive ! Beautiful-bodied women, racy and colorful. Men, Dangerous and calculating. All coming together in a precarious place. Can you feel it ? Christian Scott is the greatest living trumpeter of this generation. I’ve never heard or seen another trumpeter with that kind of moxie. He hits notes that only Miles could. This is by far the best and most perfect rendition of this song ever. Alex Han is the new Kenny Garrett, he is a beast. Is there a better bass player in the world than Marcus Miller?

Haha it’s subjective but I’d probably say there are (re: last question). Also for me, Roy Hargrove and Wynton are better though they’re a bit older than Christian. I’m sure there are loads of badass trumpeters out there who don’t have the name recognition. Definitely were some dope players at UNT like Jordan Gheen (not sure if I spelled his name right?)

Marcus Miller has played with many great musicians…(Miles Davis)…Christian Scott plays beautifully as does the rest of the musicians…Marcus Miller is close to a prodigy…He plays keyboards ect…He collaberated w/his keyboardist on a tune called “ Untamed “…The album is called Laid Black…I’ve seen some great bass players ( Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorious, Ron Carter )…Just to name a few…Marcus Miller has earned his wings…Hopefully he continues to inspire musicians to push the boundary of Jazz…🎸

Man I love the trumpet!!! Really I love all musical instruments. The trumpet is one of my favourites because it’s so intense and emotional. Chris Scott you are so young and yet you are as good as Miles Davis. There hasn’t been anyone in a while who plays the trumpet that caught my eye and then you popped up on Tiny Desk. His album Rewind That I find listening to in entirety at least twice a week, to get my mind right or if I'm already feeling great! It's mostly originals, but does contain another Miles cut "so what" . Christian Scott -- Is my new favorite ARTIST right now, glad he's getting some good recognition by all walks of life with this recording here!
