OMG you got the "mint" flavor :-) I'm becoming a fan of Sire MM basses the bridge pickup soloed sounds a lot less "quacky" than most. excellent pickup placement - I imagine Marcus' influence had something to do with that...

what kind of strings were used (flats, rounds, half-rounds)? Did you string through the bridge or through the body?

Thanks for mentioning it's glossy. I didn't realize it was. I've been looking at picking up this bass. I hate glossy boards.

I love mine. Only complaint is the low e string goes dead very quickly, I have tried all different types of string brands and still the same. My go to gigging bass and people comment on the color all of the time.

I use flats, the LaBella for Mustang basses specifically. Zero issues with dead strings 🙂

mine does exactly the same! doesn't really seem to affect the sound so much as the feel...
