The DS7 - here in its most powerful 360 hp PHEV form - competes not only with the Audi Q5, but also with the BMW X3, Lexus NX, Mercedes-Benz GLC or Volvo XC60, all of which can be ordered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and offer similar performance. Even if the DS7 E-Tense 360 4x4 is the smallest of the pack.
DS Automobiles is one of 14 automotive brands owned by the Stellantis Group. In 2009, Citroen announced the introduction of the DS sub-brand. The name refers to the iconic DS model from the 1950s and 1960s and is meant to be associated with luxury. The first models were called Citroen DS3, 4, 5, etc., and then DS became a standalone brand, which judging by the long lettering on the tailgate, has to be spelled out. Just in case.

Sorry Marek, I usually appreciate your reviews but here you missed a critical point. The 360hp version of the DS7 is fitted with 21" alloy wheels and slim tires. This contributes to the sporty look, but as many reviewers reported, it also generates way more noise in the cabin and ruins the ride comfort. The DS scan suspension is not to blame! For this reason, many consider the 300hp version, fitted with 19" alloy wheels, the best compromise, with decent power, near-perfect noise insulation* and excellent ride comfort. * I tried the 300hp myself, it's really quiet.

The 360hp has a different suspension setup (lowered, firmer, 245/35R21 sport tyres instead of 235/50R19 comfort tyres) than the 300 & 225.

I wouldn't be seen dead in any of them, they are so boring. I was considering the X3, but there is not enough Individual catalogue options that would make it vaguely interesting. So if it was only a 2-3 year lease, I'd go with the DS7, because it'd be the only one within a 100 km radius.

I don't think I've got that many watches, but I'm open to some watch spotting by the viewers. I think I've featured at least four different watches since (and including) the BMW XM review. And I have a Frankenwatch waiting for a reveal some time in February.

Chrysler should import this. Seems sporty and luxurious enough. They could call it the Chrysler DS7 to avoid having to swap badges.

Even Volvo can't make their T8 hybrid powertrain reliable, so I doubt the French can do it. A small turbo engine in a hybrid powertrain seems like a recipe for disaster.

Definitely not a car for "butchers, masons and ceramic tilers", that want to "advertise their financial success" to the rest of the world .... They'll feel much more "at home" in one of the German "trio fantasticus" products! And thankfully, it should be so....

It really depends on what device you're listening it to. On my side it sounds good. If I think it's too loud or too quiet, I ask the editor to correct it, but there are too many speakers and processing by YT to make sure it sounds good everywhere.

Personally I find the design too forced and gaudy, especially the new light signature...biggest problem is the lack of leg room for larger persons in the front and back something Audi and BMW makes much better in this class.

Problem here straight out the box is this car is priced against cars that will hold there value where the DS dont so if you like one but don want to lose your shirt get a second hand

Apparently that's the point. It's not a Citroen, it's a DS, and it can therefore (apparently) command a premium price (which in French is la connerie).

I don’t see the value in this car compared to a loaded Tesla Model Y Long Range at under 60k New and around 53k from the stocks. Anyway, new Dacia Duster is the way to go if you insist on internal combustion to move you around.

There were 66,070,000 cars sold last year around the world that didn't have a Tesla badge. Those that want one should buy one, everyone else should buy what they want.

​@@MarekDrivesENGI agree that for frequent long trips, like 500-600km several times a week, an electric vehicle (EV) may not be the most practical due to the time spent charging. A diesel car, such as a fat German model, could be more efficient for such distances. Although plug-in hybrids offer some benefits, they might also be suboptimal for this type of usage. However, your argument seems to focus on an extreme case and feels a bit lazy. The average daily car trip in Europe is about 32km, close to my own 34km commute. For most families, the additional time spent charging on a road trip, assuming they do it four times a year, would only add about 5 hours annually compared to refueling stops (there are 8,760 hours in a year). Plus, the convenience of not having to visit gas stations regularly during the rest of the year for refills with an EV can also save time. Anually, a person might spend approximately 4-5 hours at gas stations.

@@NemanjaPantelic So? Tesla fanboys love waving that around that it's world's the best-selling model like it means something. There's plenty of people who don't want or need a Model Y. It doesn't meet my off-road needs, which is why I have a Hilux. It's far too big for my partner, which is why she has a Yaris.

Pretty sure in Poland same as everywhere else leasing means to pay more. So even bigger problem except the one that the car is still a trashy citroen. ;) And by trashy i mean kicz.

Businesses lease. There is no private leasing in Poland. So this is a write off for one's business. And anyone who can afford it is a sole proprietor.
