I love that she has always been willing to talk about the evidence that so many of the other Christian scholars sweep under the carpet and ignore. And she makes sense of them. Many times during her speech I found myself thinking 'Oh! That would explain that oddity in the Bible." Mostly those oddities are either not accounted for or glossed over in ways that make no sense whatsoever.

This shows that historically many things important to the doctrine of Christ were removed from the Israelite religion at the time Lehi fled from Jerusalem and that many of those things are contained in the Book of Mormon even in the first few chapters

Love this - I’d recommend The Hebrew Goddess by world renowned scholar Raphael Patai, published about 50 years ago. Second would be Did God Have a Wife? By Harvard Archaeologist William Dever. Excellent other scholarly research on some of the topics covered.

Read the story of King Uzziah. Here you will see the Coup d' Etat against the last Sacred King of the family of David while he was exercising his Royal Priesthood in the Temple. With Uzziah deposed, the Levites started to train the young kings to accept the deuteronomist changes they wish to make.

Deuteronomy 4 is talking about how the Israelites saw only fire from the base of Mount Sinai. It does not say Moses saw no form at its peak. She’s just plain wrong on that point.

🤦🏼‍♂️ Have you even read the Book of Mormon? It testifies of Jesus Christ’s divinity and role as redeemer, on average, every other verse and you claim it comes from the father of all lies?? People can be so blind to spiritual truth even when God provides evidence.

@@CryptoCPA Do you understand the LDS teach HOLY GOD is a glorified man who had a beginning, when every Jew and Christian on earth have ALWAYS known God to be an Eternal Spirit? Why read the works of darkness like the book of Mormon or any LDS publication? They are inherently wrong on the IDENTITY of God, so how do you believe a thing they say? No Attorney at Law could defend Smith in a lawsuit about his claim to be a prophet. He was duped by Satan, obviously.
