You definitely need a library membership. I'm a bookworm also and it's saved us hundreds of dollars a year. Even if the library doesnt have something, if I submit a request, they'll either get a copy or I can do interlibrary loan (where they borrow it from another library that does have it) and I haven't paid to read any book off my amazon list, other than the few I listen to on audible, for several years.

If you get Libby you can also get audio books through your library!

Hey Margaret, I’m subscribed to your channel and have been watching old videos 🙃 I was wondering if you could do a video on the supplements you use? Like how you decided on those brands and possibly the articles or websites you’ve used for informing yourself. Non-toxic and clean living is a journey I’m on so I’m interested in it all!

This has been so helpful as I look for products that are healthy! I have autoimmune disease and bipolar disorder and feel so overwhelmed with learning about toxins. Channels like this are like a trusted friend sharing their recommendations. THANK YOU! 💓🌸💛

Love these Margaret! And I’m not sure if it was a one time thing but I think perfect supplements has a buy 3 get 30% off or something I could be remembering wrong but I bought my liver capsules, gelatin, collagen, and magnesium bath flakes all at once, for an extra discount. Being healthy is totally what’s important but since I’ve focused on good meats and lots of nose to tail eating I’ve been getting so many comments about losing weight and asking what workouts I’ve been doing (tbh haven’t been working out 😅) so glad you’re sharing on these things because we need to know this stuff as women and mothers!❤

I'm really interested in natural supplements. How do you know what minerals/supplements you are lacking in? Do you have doctors test levels of things or go by your symptoms, or something else?
@margaretmatheny2 жыл бұрын
I don't do tests at this point in my life. I just make sure I'm eating lots of bioavailable nutrients and minerals.

Fellow minimalist mom of 6 here, I'm "crunchy" (as my friends say) and also homestead so your stuff is spot on to me. Quality supplements, real local food, high quality items. You sold me on the rubber pillows! Question though, your discount code is for the wool pillow right? When I tried to get it for the rubber one it said it didn't apply. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
@aomer202 жыл бұрын
You have to select the queen size for it to work :)
@natalieelskamp96772 жыл бұрын
@@aomer20 I've tried it on all the different types of pillows and each of the sizes, it says the code doesn't apply. And the only pillow I've found that was originally 169 is the wool pillow. ☹️

How do you deal with people buying you gifts?? I love minimalism, I have a far way to go on where I want to be but slowly decluttering with my newborn. But sometimes family and friends buy mugs, clothing etc and I don't want/need it all. You don't want to offend them, so do you just take it say thank you and re gift? Or sit down and talk with them that you don't want things? Ahh so time consuming :/
@margaretmatheny2 жыл бұрын
Ya know, I just don't worry about it. I take it as someone showing me they care and love me. We use them, write thank you notes and when the kids have outgrown it or it just doesn't fit, we either repurpose it, give to family or donate it. I have too many people in my life whose love language is gift-giving. It's a way of love so that's how I take it, even if I'm trying to stay minimal. And I'm so minimal that it doesn't really bother us! Over time they've learned I'm minimal and ask for specific gift options or bring me meaningful things!
