Normalize normal homes! Totally agree and totally respect your decision not to share (for any reason or no reason at all, it's YOUR home!) I just love seeing people actually have huge piles of laundry to fold and normal pantries where you can't even find things 🤪

12:00:01 seriously the best statement ever. I feel so sad when i see home tours! And i feel less too!!! I’m glad you spoke on this!!!! It’s a modest apartment and a beautiful home to the family. And i love that you said that.We move to our new home May 1st and its a modest home nothing fancy not even a garage... and a family member helped us get it because its been nearly impossible to do anything for us with the economy.... and i just feel so grateful for it! I don’t care if its not what other people’s standards are I’m just happy i have a home. Thank you again so much on speaking on this!! Simple living and being grateful is the most gravitational thing i try to implement each time.

Relatable. Literally my husbands grandparents helped us get a house because we’d never be able to on our own unfortunately.

I can relate to this am and still working through my emotions about it. I still feel jealous when I see large beautiful or new build homes. And shame when I think about inviting people over to my modest home that still needs Major renovations. Thanks for the statement and comments!

Thanks for saying those words, Starra. Ya know they come from a place of feeling less in the past. I know what it feels like and I just wanted others to know that it's okay to feel those things, but they don't need to stay. I'm working on contentment every day-even as a minimalist! We just live in a time where it's normal to show everything you have. But it's definitely a trap. I never want people to feel that way and I know that it's inevitably going to happen as I open up my life on this platform, but I want people to see my heart more than anything. So thanks for these words and for sharing your story too. sending love!

Well it’s NOT as if the more fancy a home is the happier people are living in it! People that are content and strive after other values are happier with their lives than people that put their own value in materialistic things! Happiness comes from within yourself and your relationships, from what you decide to value as important and what you choose to compare your life with & strive after 🙏❤️

I agree with your statements in looking into the homes of others and feel like your missing out. I do like inspiration tho. So I try to keep that perspective vs lacking. I also love a good soak. I love minimalism so much. We live in south Florida and enjoy the 1400 sq ft for 4 people. I’m not into cleaning all day. We are home nearly 24/7. As hubs works from home. And we homeschool. So it can get less tidy quickly so my goal is to constantly vacuum snd keep things put away and wiped down. I do deep cleaning once a month which is hitting dust on curtains snd cabinets and fridge clean out with organized closets and pantry. If I can keep that in rotation it makes life so much easier for me. I can’t stand clutter!! Drives me nuts! So I must do the necessary always.

A really good thing to note is that if you buy items secondhand, the chemicals have already been washed away (and it's so so much better for the environment and your wallet). Everything from stores like Target is full of chemicals from manufacturing, which is awful for everyone.
@margaretmatheny2 жыл бұрын
Yes, agree! Target is not my favorite place to shop but for these little necessities, it's where I go. I'll be thrifting and secondhand shopping here soon. Maybe I'll film it! Thanks for these words of wisdom.

Disappointed for no home tour really enjoy your content. If you do have a modest home, why not show that anyone can make the most of their situation and it doesn't have to be fancy.
