MARGIN FISHING FOR BIG FISH! (Pellets vs Meat!)

I was fishing one of my local ponds yesterday on the method feeder, early morning start casting to the margins of the opposite side. Picked up a few carp to start with and then the roach and bream moved in, whilst it was nice catching the other species of fish and of a good stamp too, my main aim was carp. By the end of the session I was literally lowering the feeder into the margin right by my feet where I landed a further 6/7 carp with the biggest weighing in at 8lb 6oz. I must admit I have never really been into pole fishing but must admit it does look fun. Great video and thanks for the “hush hush ingredients” 🎣🎣

Great Video Ben. I use both baits in my margin fishing with decent success, however you showing the way to feed the meat line is pretty amazing. I have fished using meat paste (liquidised with method mix added to stiffen the paste), but your method is amazing. Its on my to do things for this weekend. Thanks for the tip mate. 👍

Great stuff! Used to use the liquidised/blitzed meat and groundbait mix a lot back in the day (twenty years ago thinking about it 😱) - caught a lot of fish for me too. Guess like most I got pellet fever and it fell out of favour. Will have to give it a bash again.

I use the mtx 2 power. The power kits have a rating of 18. Short kits have a rating of 12 like the match kits. Which kits are using with a 20/22 elastic please

Biggin Lake , just outside Oundle , Northants. Bit of a trek to get to the lake - you have to walk across a golf course fairway. If you have loads of kit you'll need a trolley really 👍

I just read a review on FB that says this place needs attention. Pegs rotten and falling to bits and the toilet is unusable. I always thought Biggin Lake was a well looked after fishery.

Biggin is well maintained yes the porta loo can do with being emptied out more often
