Margot appeared three times on Late Night:
1. November 23, 1982.* Margot promotes the film "Heartaches" (clip edited out due to copyright caution). A few minutes of her discussion on "Some Kind of Hero" were edited out of the broadcast; the video isn't available, but the audio was found and has been inserted into the space where the now-missing footage would have been.
2. April 29, 1986. Margo promotes the tv-movie "The Vanishing Act" and chats with a caller. Also, Dave and Margot briefly talk about her first guest appearance and the cuts made for broadcast.
3. August 4, 1987. Margo promotes the film "Superman IV." The movie clip is deleted here (an earlier version of this collection included the clip and was promptly blocked by Warner Bros. Entertainment).
*Also appearing on the November 23, 1982, Late Night were Grant Tinker and Harry Anderson. Every guest on this show is now deceased.
Grant Tinker's appearance can be seen here: • Grant Tinker on Letter...
Harry Anderson's appearance can be seen here: • Harry Anderson Collect...

Great posting, Don. The past 25 years I was constantly reminded of the talented Margot Kidder every time I saw onscreen her equally talented doppelganger Robin Tunney.

This time I cringed when I got this notification from your channel. I was hoping the worst did not just happen. Instead of clicking here, I went straight to the news feeds and there it was, she is dead. I didn't expect this one. You're always on time with your Letterman tributes after a death, and this is a fine tribute indeed to a beautiful, beautiful woman.

She’s absolutely gorgeous in the second interview with Letterman. She’s glowing and looks radiant. Very much close to how she looked in the first Superman.

I'm writing script for a movie since Covid started. It will be called the " White Rabbit Prophecies ." Margot Kidder lived in our Canadian village and she went on and on about how she would be impossible. The kids at school laughed at her statement that she would act with Robert Redford someday and she did. She was a Bipolar girl and with the suffering comes gifts and you just have to look for the light. I am sitting in my Library now near a letter from her father that lived in BC Canada. This movie is in honor of you Margot.

💔When I was a kid watching Ms. Kidder in Superman movies, I always thought she had a beautiful smile, especially when she did the interview with superman in the 1st movie. As I watched her as she gotten older from her other YT videos streaming, her personality is awesome. I hope she served the Lord correctly b4 she left this world? 💔

Emily Cunningham Oh! I 4got about that pipe line ordeal. I dnt get myself wrapped up in politics bcuz Man can't make my flight better. As for MK, besides this video, I mostly been viewing videos of her with the Superman cast(Comiccom)and clips of her in the Superman movies. Anyways, all I can say is, it's a done deal when we dnt repent, walk righteously n continue to do the Lord's will that's if the individual are still walking on the face of this earth but once you die, you will be judge on judgement day. I dnt want to say it but it seems like Ms. Kidder died as a reprobate. That's the hurting part. As scriptures says that not everyone going to see nor hear his words. Nice chatting with you, Emily. Matthew 13:16-17(KJV) 16But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Peace n Grace!💕

There's always the possibility (as long as we're still on earth at least) that she'll be in heaven even though she was an Atheist. Alot has been said that origional Hebrew writing has been misinterpreted...including the word hell and eternal. Who knows for sure...I sure hope her soul is ok. She was a very caring and loving sweet lady.

She was the antithesis of a judgemental person and more loving and caring than ANY of you all. A moral human being who did more for others and fought for what's right beyond ANYTHING you all can comprehend or attempt let alone accomplish. Save your judgement for yourselves you self righteous religious zealots.

Oh Don. I just see these come up in my feed and click on them and then later at some point I say to myself 'Oh wait didn't she die?' and then look it up and she just had. Later I realize that you don't make a lot of these randomly. I don't blame you but it gets a bit depressing and bittersweet to see these people in the videos coming up. How about some random living people collections? ; ) I'm kidding, I know you make those too. The only danger is that If you do the post mortem videos often enough, when a new video appears featuring anyone at all, people might get the wrong idea. Especially the people in the video. There's another weird fact to this video that the next guest was Harry Anderson. Two guests on the same show not knowing that they would both die 35 years later within weeks of each other. 13:10 to kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6unq3uHadiLjtkm42s

I noticed that... I guess they initially considered airing it with muting but changed their minds. Which is weird since ordering such a long cut after the taping was over had to blow a big hole in the show’s running time. I’m also surprised they allowed “a good lay” to be aired.
@dongiller
@dongiller 6 жыл бұрын
They didn't; "lay" was part of the unearthed audio, so I spliced it into the video. Not the cleanest edit but I was in a rush. :)

@@dongiller You did good,👍 especially considering what you had to work with, & around. I sense Margot was an intelligent person, and she was doing her best to tell the adult/sensitive story about researching Hookers without alarming the FCC sensors OR sounding 'trashy." She was kind of backed in to a bit of a corner and overall she handled it well. Remember, way back when, before Dave jumped Networks, he had a strained relationship with his "new bosses", "the corporate suits" at GE. They wanted to micro manage the show and other issues, Dave was unhappily under contract for a long while and there was always an undercurrent of him pushing the envelope just to make the corporate suits squirm. The Hooker research story segment seems like one of those times when Dave was messing with his nemises in upper management on purpose. Just curious, can anyone tell me what the "unearthed version" is or what it means?
@dongiller

The first interview comes from a pre-broadcast source. Her sex details were edited out, but the audio was inexplicably heard later in the show on only one channel. The other audio channel was in sync with its corresponding video. I then extracted the audio of the sex details and positioned it in its proper location. Easy-peasy. :)
