Margot should’ve won a best supporting actress Oscar for this role as her Brooklyn accent, character and mannerisms were so spot on that people really thought she was American. Yet because at the time she was an unknown actress from Australia she didn’t get the credit she deserved for her acting ability instead people were more focused on her being beautiful and sexy rather than her realistic portrayal of the character.

I’ve been thinking about this recently after seeing her play stereotypical Barbie. The parallels in how she was thrust into Hollywood after Wolf of Wall Street for being the “bombshell.” I feel like it’s a full circle moment in Margot Robbie’s career.

@@jacobvanveit3437 I just meant that if she played the character of Naomi now as an established actress she would’ve definitely been nominated. At the time if she’d been ‘American’ despite being unknown it would’ve helped her as everything was more ‘American’ centric then. Whereas these days international actors are more well known in the US due to social media.

@@afewsnakes Perhaps you are correct. Seems you have high standards for KZbin comments and on a _short_ no less. I'm hot off watching Obi-Wan and was frustrated with how direct and dull the dialogue and execution were. It's nice to revisit work where there is a degree of subtlety in execution and trust in the audience to understand what's going on. I think if this were done by the people who made Obi-Wan then Margot would say "I am going to be your sugar baby" because they wouldn't think it's obvious enough. I believe this films approach is worth complimenting.

SICKENING: This movie makes my stomach heave because every second of it is true! I lived that life for 12 years in the finance industry and the things that went on behind closed doors was exactly like this movie and after a while I just couldn’t take it anymore and had to get out or I was going to lose my soul forever!! At first you don’t see it happening, then the insane money blinds you, then panic sets in that you’re going to go to jail, then you start running but you can’t find the exit, then the stress starts to eat you alive, then you watch in the mirror as your soul starts to die. I was lucky, I somehow managed to get out but spent the next 7 years with PTSD due to what I went through to escape. I finally had to stop working altogether and completely cut myself off from the entire industry and every single person I ever knew in it. Took me 3 years thereafter but I’m slowly starting to get myself back, although I still feel like there’s something waiting in the bushes! I watched this movie and just was numb all the way through it. It’s sooo scary real it’s paralyzing.

No matter how hot the woman and how bad the marriage the respectable thing to do is always end the current relationship first. Always respect the person you’re with before you go with another. There will be pain, sadness and anger but after some time passes both parties will respect each other for the way it was ended. Cheating always ends bad. If you or both of you are willing to cheat with someone else there will always be a base of un-trust between the two.

Well, not always life pays the things they've done. Don't think you haven't done anything wrong either or why would you be giving a boring line on how not to be a cheater? Focus on you and your own consequences, if you can be a so called "decent person". Some cheaters and people that do things they're not suppose to, they never pay for what they do. And we shouldn't be worrying about those people, they will always exist

@@analyssag13 nope that's a lie by Boomer feminists. Single women are stressed out and not happy at all. Intact families are always superior to broken families. And why break off a relationship that's based on many things and kids are involved just because a guy wanted some variation? That's how you keep a marriage. No man only wants sex with the same woman for 50 or more years. Marriage is more than just who sleeps with who. In fact, most healthy marriages involve swinging/ partner swapping at some point in order to not get stale.
