I love this woman! Ive been doing keto for years with some success, but i would get so frustrated when i couldnt lose the rest of the weight. Her method makes so much sense; i cant believe i made so many mistakes. Ive followed all the top keto channels and never has it been made this clear to me what i really must do which is keep the carbs and the fats low to lose weight. Thank you Maria! 🙌🙌🙌😊

Its all about calorie deficit. Calorie deficit is the reasony any loses weight ever Do you think starving people would magically stop starving if we gave them 800 calories a day of carbs? No the human body doesnt work like that.
@haveabanana2930
@haveabanana2930 3 жыл бұрын
@@loosecannon6142 no, but a fat person eating 800 calories of carbs a day may not lose any weight because their metabolism will slow down to the point that they are only using those 800 per day and nothing from their fat stores. That is why carbs are not ideal for losing weight. The body will use that fuel first. It's called oxidative priority. And they will be tired all the time because their metabolism slowed down in order to keep their fat stores. Protein is a necessity for weight loss; carbs are not.

As a T2 I have to agree on the counting net carbs vs. whole carbs. My blood sugar rises according to the whole amount of carbs, not net. I cannot go by net carbs at all. "The proof is in the pudding"... so many "keto" foods out there raise my bg just as much as non-keto. Especially things like tortillas, bread, etc.

I grew up on packaged breakfast cereal, bowls of pasta, ice cream for dessert. Sunday’s meant the pink box from the donut store. Started on a path to wellness in my 20’s. Phases of vegan, exercising constantly, low fat... Blah.. blah... blah.. Been ultra low carb for several years... intermittent fasting. Staying well. So good.

I just can not give up nuts, butter, and cheese. If it slows my keto loss I’ll live with it. 53 lbs in 5 months is acceptable to me.

When my son was about a year and a half he kept getting ear infections. Doctor said if it kept happening they were going to put tubes in his ears. My grandma told me to take dairy out of his diet for about six months. Did that and he never got another ear infection.

So I have very high ferritin. But according to doctor my iron is only 27% saturation. What the hell does that mean. I have dropped down 300 points but still out 9f so called normal range since doing carnivore. He said it is not hemocromotosis.

Really not sure if raising your kids on keto is a wise idea. Limiting sugar intake, sure... but full blown keto isn't something we have long lasting data for. And it's really not necessary. Carbs aren't the enemy.

Do you have any idea just how annoying it is to have you constantly saying change slide please change slide change slide change slide please track your entire presentation not only is it unprofessional and seriously annoying but it doesn't reflect very positively upon you. That's why they make remote clickers for those slideshow projectors you should not have someone changing the slides for you you should be standing on the stage with a clicker in your hand so that you can change the slides at will and give a thing less presentation
