Alex thank you for sharing. Needing human connection and to communicate with people is so important to be healthy, but it is so hard to know who we can trust in showing vulnerabilities given so many out there who can and will take full advantage of the traumatized and over exposed. I never belonged here on earth, can't stand being a human being because I see most other animals care better for their young than we do. Of stop the cycle. What she did have as a child, was awful and traumatic. Everything her mom did she has given to six kids. They will probably do the same. It’s learned behavior. Generational trauma that will just keep repeating itself. Six kids, that’s a lot for the average couple to have. Someone has to break the cycle.

As a parent though, it’s her job to make the step, not her kids. She has to show that she is willing to change or else they will never accept her. As a parent, that burden always falls on you to prove you are worthy of a child’s embrace and not the other way.
@dp6970

@@shayisenor6896 I agree. When the children in question are young, it’s absolutely the responsibility of the parent to make the steps and do the work. Possibly even when the kids become adults. But what my comment was about is that I hope her adult children (one day) can see their mom through empathetic eyes. As we get older, we tend to start seeing our parents as just people and less as “parents” per se. So, i just hope her children find it in their hearts to do the same. It’s still their mom’s responsibility to do the right thing, but still…

When she said she wanted to go home but didn't know where that was I started crying. I have said this to many people for many years. I finally realized that home is where ever I feel safe. I love where I am now, but it took many many many years to get to this point. Both my brother and I beet the statistics as far as drugs, drinking, being homeless etc. We could have ended up exactly where some of these people are now. I don't have a lot, but love what I have. This interview is very heart-breaking but it's so important to learn from these. What I've learned from watching these is the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness sets us free. As we release and heal the past, we experience more love in the current moment. We are all human and deserve unconditional love. Mark, thank you for all that you do. ♥️

No judgment because I understand she had a really hard life. But generational curses. It’s amazing to me how people can identify exactly what caused their life of misery and pain, and have kids just to neglect them and leave them loveless like their mother did to them. I’m sure her mother has a similar story, and I’m sure her kids now do too…

Yeah no I’m gonna judge people who have kids with no intention of bringing them into a happy stable life, and I’m gonna judge people who leave their kids with just anyone. I don’t care, when it comes to kids, I immediately lose any empathy for any who participates in the harm done to them. I don’t care what the excuse is because there is none. My mother was an addict but she would never leave us with just anyone, and she took the steps to better herself for us. Her story rlly triggered me, and overall I’m fucking done with humans. We’re born to do mistakes we aren’t born to ruin people’s fucking lives before they even had a chance.

Why doesn't the American government monitor foster families. All the foster care horror stories could be avoided. More than 330 000 000 people getting over, over taxed and yet they are not being taken care of. No health care or health wellness programs to keep human beings safe and taken care of just results in these kind of stories. Other countries like Canada with a population of 30 000 000, with lower taxes, takes better care of its people.

Maria, you have carried a heavy load your entire life, release the past, free yourself from the burden. embrace and build your relationship with your dad. Do one thing every single day to love yourself and nurture your inner child. You can and have to begin to parent yourself because your parents weren't there for you. Be the mom you want to be for your kids to yourself first, and goid things will follow. Be a mom to yourself first! I believe you can do this. You seem to have a big heart and great wisdom and insight.
