I adore Kayali Sugared Patchouli, absolutely heavenly. Dior Addict, I hated when it came out but love it now and Absolute Aphrodisiac is divine 😍 I used to loathe vanilla perfume in my 20's....fast forward 30yrs, it's my favourite note, along with Patchouli.

I love vanilla and have quite a few fragrances with vanilla being the main note. Lately I can’t get enough of smoky resinous profiles. I love Rifaacat, Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold and just got Nayel Queen delivered yesterday. Another good one .Kayali 28 is a staple for me it really works well with my skin.

The 2024 reformulated Empire Victor is hands down my favorite vanilla. I love it so much I have two extra 100ml bottles. Amazing on it own, but also awesome to layer with other scents. Lattafa Angham is another amazing vanilla which is a spot on dupe for Burberry Goddess for about 1/5th the price.

Vanilla is my favorite! I think that Lira might be the best vanilla I have ever smelled. I don't own it and it is too expensive for me. I know I like to switch it up with my fragrance, so I have several affordable middle eastern fragrances that I enjoy - I wouldn't give them up for the price of Lira. But Lira is so stunning and probably will stay being my unicorn 😊

Many of the fragrances you've mentioned over your videos I also like; such as Tobacco Vanille and Burberry Goddess. A little out of budget, but Tobacco Vanille will one day come home with me. Une Bois vanille is a vanilla classic I enjoy. Will always be in my vanilla collection. Creme Brulee Is way to sweet for me, almost too real of a dessert. I really want to try the Vanilla Royale Patchouli from Kayali, haven't yet tried that one. my all time favorite vanilla right now is Happy Dust by Narcotica AND Ex Idolo Love and Crime, my ultimate favorite vanilla lemon orange cake ..absolutely wonderful.

I lucked out on Ebay and got the Lattafa Langham dupe of Burberry Goddess for just $19 because the bottle was damaged (I believe he may have more, ladies). The lavender is likely less prominent in the opening than in Goddess, according to some anyway, and everyone seems to love it, me included. I can't afford perfumes over $50 so Middle Eastern ones as well as impressions from Impressive Bliss are what I buy these days. I love Lalique Le Parfum, though it doesn't last super long, on my second bottle now. I love Black Opium Le Parfum, but have only a 10 ml decant of it that is disappearing fast. I find I love warm vanillas and spicy vanillas more than most anything; pair that with caramel and you got me! ~Cynthia

Same. I don't think I like vanilla, but after looking at my shelves, I guess maybe I do. 😅 I've a vial of velvet vanilla somewhere. It's always captivated me, but as a man, I'm not sure I'm bold enough to wear it all the time. I tried to buy Ansaam Gold to scratch that itch, but it didn't, really. They smell similar at first, but Ansaam Gold lacks the power & the dry down. Maybe someday I'll buy the mancera. I tried to get my mom into Burberry Goddess, but she didn't seem too interested when we sniffed it at Macy's.

Can someone tell me what component makes some perfumes smell powdery? I smell it in Godess after it dries down, and i don't care for it. What fragrance do i need to avoid???

Likely it’s the cacao that is giving it a powdery vibe for you. A suggestion would be to look up other fragrances with the cacao note and see if you find them powdery as well.
