There's just something about this song. Extreme nostalgia. You couldn't watch MTV or VH-1 without seeing this video. Impossible. I remember being 7 years old and begging my dad to take me to the Wherehouse to buy this tape. Music Box was actually my favorite song from the album. Music had a lot of variety which is what we are missing today.

WoW The Wherehouse! I forgot about that store. When I 1st heard this song I was at work and the radio was low. I said to myself that has to be Mariah Carey, I'D stop in mid order and turned up the radio. I was lucky because 6 days before the release of "Music Box" I was doing shopping meet in San Diego. when I stopped at this one music section I asked the guy " Do you have "Music Box by Mariah Carey?" He said hold on went to the back and came with it my eyes widen, and I smiled from cheek to the moon." He told not to tell anyone because he could get fined for selling it before the release date" I said okay and tipped him 5 dollars, because he made my day.

its so touching to see how Mariah's music was so treasured back then i mean, i don't have the same background as yours experiencing her back in the day since I'm from Colombia, but I was raised with her music from her MTV unplugged album, so I always wondered how would have been to be in the USA at that period o time when Mariah rocked the world. and when i listen to this song its like u get into a dreamy mood, now days i can barely find good music and I'm so glad and bless I can always comeback to this woman to find relief and magic in her songs, I cant imagine the world without her contribution to the music. I wish now days she would realize this, and look at this video how she looked and how she acted, so natural and effortlessly sexy and gorgeous, this is the kinda diva behavior I wanna see from her... but, after all that she has giving to us u can only love her forever and ever!.
