I cry listening to this song, and when I have persevered and realized that what I thought I couldn't do, I did. what I thought couldn't get through I did. I think she may not have revealed her diagnosis as people tend to attribute everyday things to the diagnosis and not that it's completely normal for anyone to do in a similar situation(if this is what people are doing) She could just be reflecting on how everything worked out and God made it happen and she of course made it through the rain 🌧

I was in Vegas and watched the next performance of this song (which was vocally on point and amazing live). If you are a true fan you will know that this song is very personal to her for many reasons. Before she sang it she did an intro about how she did a divas concert with her idol the one and only Aretha Franklin. She told the audience a short story of a funny memory with her that night and said "This song is for Aretha!" And started to sing "Make it happen." There are many things in this moment she could be feeling so just enjoy everything she gives you while she is still willing to give! If she did not want to be there then MC will not be there. Plain and simple fact. She gave the fans a real moment because she was thankful to them for supporting her all these years. If there is something bothering her then why create drama? She's human and is entitled to those emotions. I consider her a strong person for being so vulnerable, open and giving everything back to her fans. That night was amazing. To all the haters- there was no pre recording or lip syncing. Sorry to disappoint you but she sang from her soul and her lambs definitely felt it! So stop the gossip already and appreciate this icon while she is present with us!

I think it's fair to assume that she knew in advance that her mom was going to pass soon, possibly the reason why she is emotional here. Mariah also has definitely been through a lot this past year with her break-up and these recent events, and with bipolar disorder these tough times of loss and transitions can really exacerbate both the manic and depressive episodes :(

I'm saying this as a fan of Mariah and not a hater. I have seen some videos when she started this new residency in vegas a few months ago and she looked at times drained. I agree that maybe take some time and she shouldn't push herself too hard as she may have a breakdown which won't be good for her and her kids. Make It Happen is a deeply personal song to her, she’s looking over the audience, taking it all in… She MADE all of this happen and got a little verklempt! She also knows that her residency is coming to a close, this is the last leg with only 3 shows left after this date. She’s thoroughly enjoyed this residency and could be a little sad that it’s almost over. I wouldn’t be surprised if she extends it again after her Christmas tour. I have friends that have gone to multiple shows at this residency and were there this night that said this was one of her best nights of the entire residency. I was there opening night on April 12, she was very excited and happy to be there and I can see via friends (true fans) that have attended since how she’s gotten even happier since this residency started when I was there. She doesn’t want it to end. 🦋💖

It's sad and unprecedented for her that she lip syncs this entire las vegas performance, it's hard for her to lose her voice but she has to work and make her team money so she continues to perform. She is being mentally abused to the extent that she is visible and cannot be hidden. This is unfortunate for both the audience and her. If you look closely, you can see that she has become rapidly depressed since she opened her mouth when no playback was played. This could be that she is feeling sorry for the audience. As a fan, I'm happy to hear playback of her newly recorded version, but I'm sad about this situation.

My theory is that she’s on some type of medication that is making her voice hoarse. Maybe anti depressants or pain meds or ozempic. She may be going through something and having to rely on her medication to keep the show going. She seems sedated to me. She will get through this just like many other times.
