Think of the insanely useful insight and advice Mariah could give a singer? She’s the greatest vocalist of all time and she’s so well-schooled on the technical side of singing. It’s so sad that Nicki inserting herself for drama overshadowed the purpose Mariah could’ve served the contestants.

Mariah was one of the only judges who actually gave singing advice to the contestants, even if they were horrible she gave them advice on what they might want to do next, she gave her honest opinion about what she thought of their performances, which is what every judge on the type of shows should be doing. Patti Labelle was right when she said that some of the judges on american idol aren’t even qualified to judge, but Mariah is certainly an exception.
