Most Afghans are aware that visiting tombs and asking for blessings is considered shirk in Islam. However, some individuals still visit these places out of ignorance of Islamic teachings. I hope the current government will address this issue by educating people about these practices and implementing measures to prevent visits to tombs and other forms of shirk.

@@hxyzazolchak -If you are consuming salt with the intention of seeking a blessing from the tomb or asking Allah SWT to grant you something through the deceased person in the tomb, that is considered shirk. Visiting graves and making Dua for the deceased is permissible, but asking the deceased directly or using them as an intermediary is considered shirk

There is a discussion on whether these people can actually hear you or not but regardless whether they can or cannot it couldn't possibly be shirk because they obviously dont believe these individuals can help them outside the will of Allah. Also if I ask a goat for money or a paralyzed person to run a marathon which they can obviously not do, it would be foolish to call me a mushrik because of that so in the same way even if these deceased individuals cannot do anything for the ones who are asking things from them, it still wouldnt be shirk. It might be stupid and even bidah but not shirk. Do you even know what shirk means? That's basically calling millions of people throughout the Muslim world non Muslims which actually has real implications over their marriage, work, social life and if the government were to follow what you said, they would put them to de.a th. This is serious stuff! Stop throwing around these big words. If you seriously think these people there are committing shirk, do you also think they should be put to de a th? Because that's the actual price for leaving islam by commiting shirk.

The Holy scripture is using God, Word and Spirit to be distinct. If its all was same there is no requirement to precisely use God’s Word and God’s Spirit. The following are the verses which exclusively uses God’s Word and God’s Spirit. **Isaiah 40:8 - The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.** **John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.** **Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.** **Genesis 1: 2 - The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.**

Jesus came of the Father before creation, progeneration. Holy Spirit proceeded from the Father and Jesus before creation, progeneration. In simple words, Jesus is God from God and Holy Spirit is God that proceeds from the Father and Son. It's like pouring water equally into three glasses. God does this so that upon creation; Father could be fully present in the orginal abode Heaven at the same time fully present on earth as Jesus and Holy Spirit fully present in a person as Conscience. The mind of God The Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit is always inherited from God The Father; thoughts (wisdom) of God The Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit is inherited from Jesus; and the consciousness of God The Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit is always inherited from the Holy Spirit.

Two things I need to correct you, one it is not a gated community it’s just a gate which used to be there in the beginning of each city in Afghanistan, Aino Mina is a new modern town to be built in Kandahar. Secondly the tomb of baba wali is just a tomb and not many people go there to take blessing or ask him for blessing. We believe he is just an ordinary person. People go there to enjoy and spend time with their friends in that park.

Remember, most Afghan men specially Pashtuns are not comfortable talking to women. Plus ur in AFG during Taliban regime and having a male companion around will make things really uncomfortable for him. Taliban from different regions are different compared to Kabul Taliban. If anything goes wrong he can be in big trouble. Plus I think your guide is not comfortable around your camera and most people are like that in AFG. I think he did a great job. Don’t have high expectations from a local tour guide in a place like AFG.
