Love your channel ! Excellent footage, editing, narration, and poker discussion. Keep up the great content ! I also appreciate your honest self analysis, pointing out spots where you stray from 'optimal' either because it's warranted by special circumstances, when you make a mistake or just because you want to gamble it up a bit. I think that attitude, always questioning your own play, is a big factor in why you are a great player.

in the AhAc vs Q9cc hand on Qh5c3c; it's almost a flip, and you're a very slight dog w 2 cards to come. he has 14 outs: 2 Queens, 3 Nines, + 9 clubs. multiply by 2 with 1 card to come, multiply by 4 with 2 cards to come for percentage chance. 14 * 4 = roughly 56% favorite, so this is a ~55/45 situation. he wins 5.5/10 times. therefore, if this were all-in on the turn, he'd have a 28% chance to hit, winning roughly just under 1 in 3 times. keep grinding baby!

You mentioned winning at the more recent lower stakes after a tough streak losing at higher stakes. I'm curious if you have done any comparisons on the success rates of your bluffing and all-ins at the different levels? To be specific, I am wondering if your aggressiveness could be somewhat neutralized by the players in the higher stakes games being less concerned about the dollar value of the chips they are throwwing into the pot, Thank you so very much for all that you have taught me. I start each day looking to see if you have posted anything new!

Mariano, I'd love to hear some discussion over a situation that occurs quite frequently on the river, or anyone else here. You hit your flush on the turn and got bet called first to act. River is a brick, board is unpaired, or the board even does pair, yet unlikely to hit villain. Often, and in a similar case to a hand in this video, it seems players "check to induce" SO OFTEN, and even more often, it gets checked back and you hold the winner. Even though you may not get called by worse in these spots, why not make a thin value bet, or even an over bet? He mucked his cards anyways, so you're not getting information. Even on the unpaired board, we ask ourselves "will worse call" and even if that's no, why not bet it? We're not getting any more info from mucked losing hands. I see this instance happen so often, and in so many cases the line to "check to induce" and it seems it rarely happens. On an aggro player, I totally get this line choice, however in so many personal instances it seems even the aggro guys will slow down on the river with three of a suit on the board. Any solid reasoning behind this super common situation? I guess I'm looking for both a wet board and dry board runout strategy, and no info on the player. Like I said, I often take this line myself against aggressive players and it prints, but so often it just gets checked back and I always shoot myself in the foot wondering why I didn't attempt for thin value, especially since they're mucking. Thoughts?

I think u need to take a page out of Gmans book. Take a look at how he plays highers stakes in Vegas. Those pros Gman faces in Vegas aren't scared to battle, he cant use his chip stack to bully them (gman bullies and scares his Live at the bike opponents/Hustler on the regular). I think Mariano is trying to play higher stakes the same way he plays lower stakes. Mariano can bully or scare the opponent when he raises all in with a deeper stacks in lower stakes. On the same line, Mariano tries to do the same in higher stakes which usually wont work bcuz those players have similar or higher stacks

Hey Mariano I was wondering about that J10s Handed against the deep stack at the table. Don't you have a lot of Suited Broadways with Ax in it? Especially having the AJs and A10s blockers? Would that make it a good bluff getting hands like KK, QQ, JJ, 10's and sometimes 99's to fold to two barrels?

Good luck this week and every week. I hope you get some good cards throughout the nights. Winning 100k in one night is cool but winning 52k in three days is also good. Keeping what you have and adding to it, even if it is small is cool too. Big game, medium wins. Small wins at a big game add up. Hi fans that are thinking about subscribing. Mariano plays well, mixes it up with some not so strong, wins, loses and at the end of the day he is human.
