If anyone is curious about the beauty world of Marie Antoinette, an amazing book I've read is A Scented Palace by Elisabeth de Feydeau, which focuses on the life of perfumer Jean- Louis Fargeon, who eventually became the exclusive perfumer to Marie Antoinette, but he also created various bespoke beauty products for her as well, so it makes for an interesting read.
