Terrific. This was written for a young girl who had just won a singing contest. When asked about the song she said it was a "crackin' tune." ... except she said it in Gaelic ... and it wasn't for any wedding. If you ever were to play it for Scottish country dancers you need to repeat the last 8 bars to turn it into a 40 bar reel, otherwise there won't be enough music for the dancers to make it to the end of the dance.

The groom and his best man had to then jump into the sea to save the ladies....such fun. When I asked some of the wedding party Why?? They said it is traditional and it helps create a bond that the couple knows they can count on each other!! Blessings to you all on your wedding day and forever.

Beautiful Song 🌹 This song reminds me of a dear couple I knew from Maggie Valley. Marvin and Marie Sutton. They were married for many years and sadly passed away within a few months of each other. You may know of "Starvin' Marvin's" store on Soco road near Maggie Valley. They had the store, a motel, a restaurant and trout ponds. My wife and I had a place in Clermont FL and Marvin and Marie's winter home was right next to us on Lake Minneola there. A beautiful couple they were... ✌️ 😎 And a beautiful wife was my Ramona, she passed away suddenly back in 2013.
