Hello lovelies, I have done extensive research on Marilyn Monroe's makeup and beauty collection and wanted to share Marilyn Monroe's entire makeup collection that you can still buy today. Below is a list of all the products she used that you can still buy today.
Floris Rose Geranium:
The eau de toilette was delivered in bulk to her at the Beverly Hills Hotel under a cloak and dagger alias while filming Some Like It Hot. Featuring notes of rose, geranium, citronella, and sandalwood, the British eau de toilette has been discontinued, and its scent is now only available as a bath essence.

It was waterproof completely smear proof and madesick your lashes so long and thick! I don't know why they discontinued it. It was the best!

Nivea Creme - Kitty Carlisle Hart was signed on as a spokesperson for Nivea when she was 96 years of age. I actually helped her in getting this "gig'. Kitty never used anything other than Nivea on her face, and they finally signed her on as a spokesperson. At first they thought she was too old to represent their product, but finally realized that if a woman of her age could look four decades younger than she actually was, then the product would sell well to people decades younger than they were.

Marilyn was born a brunette. She would have looked pretty with dark hair too. I wonder if Chanel No.5 smelled differently back in those days. Although it is a pleasant classic scent; it's too strong. It got me thinking if there was a body splash version of it. Perhaps that's what Marilyn used to pour on the bathwater.

Now Vaseline, that’s something I can afford. Too thick for around the eyes but I use it over the deepest areas where we crease as women. When you dab ever so lightly and let it soak in for like 10-15 minutes, then continue doing cream makeup and barely powder as an overlay. Revlon colorstay makes reflective powder and it’s ideal for a radiant complexion!! Marilyn would have loved it!!!

Marilyn had incredibly dry skin , I’m perplexed as to why 2 of her fave Lazlo products were good for oily skin...? It’s odd. Considering she had a personal relationship with the brand. One of the reasons she loved Vaseline, not just as a juicy highlighter was as an occlusive. Makes sense with her skin type. I enjoyed your updated video, I’ve been a fan of hers for many moons & own many books. Thanks, Laura. P.S. I thought you may enjoy the another perfume Marilyn used Eau de Arpege by Lanvin. It's beautiful. Particularly the cologne (Eau) iteration. I have 2 bottles, one vintage from 1949 & a new bottle. One of my fave scents. I love dead stock too, it's a bit of an addiction!

@@maritzacubero9431, would you like some suggestions? I have mostly hardcovers, been collecting since the late 80s. Her own book called My Story written by Marilyn is definitely worth picking up & fragments, poems ( trying to recall exact title ) is another good one, all her work. I suggest others for the photos & these for the personal insights & photos. I'll come back and recommend more. Definitely look for the book Gloria Steinem ( yes, that Gloria ) & photographer George Barris put together. It's truly fabulous. Hope this helps gets you started.

Day Dew came In a tube like toothpaste. It was sold at Boyd’s Chemists on Madison and 60th. It lasted forever. You squeezed out a drop in your palm and tapped tapped tapped until it was warm and creamy and applied it with fingertips. A true cult item.

Hi Laura Jane❣️ I have used a few of these products. I’ve used as a teen the Max Factor pan stick trying to cover my cystic acne on my face. I also wore for a while the Channel #5 perfume (it was a gift). I also used the cake mascara in the red box, it was my moms from years prior and I used it a few times to just see if it it worked with that little brush it had! I love your videos they’re so different and fun 🎃🍁🍂🌾

As Always, very interesting, Laura! I like Nivea and especially liked their oil to cream lotion which has been discontinued. The Max Factor and Elizabeth Arden makeup products I have also tried, but also find them to be quite heavy coverage- love those red lipsticks, too! ☺️💕💄‼️. I would like to see what Jaclyn Smith uses- I have an old beauty book about her, but wonder what products she uses!

Petroleum jelly or petrolatum was discovered as a paraffin-like material coating oil rigs. Since then, it has been used in various ointments and as a lubricant. Here is a look at what petroleum jelly is and its chemical composition.
