This performance touched me even more than for example rhythm 0. For some reason my brain sees the inability to speak or write as worse than not eating. I can't stop imagining myself in this situation and the amount of thoughts I wouldn't be able to express.

The september 11 attacks could be the main influence for her to make this performance. But perpetual and transformative characteristics of the artwork comes up in our minds, when we think about the coronavirus situation 2020 in the whole world.Astonishing performance!

Marina Abramović on The House With the Ocean View (2002) In this long durational performance, Abramović lived on three platforms installed within Sean Kelly Gallery, New York, with no allowance for privacy between herself and the audience. She describes her intention to change the feeling of time within the space, in the hope that the public would forget about time in the course of their visit.

I came here via a chatbot because I was looking for new art that could relate to "Nigredo," the stage in the alchemical process of death and being under the fire. Yes, that's a feeling if you take the individuation process seriously. Pozdrav

To remind people of their vulnerability.

Re that vulnerability: For the Novice, Art should entertain as much as it disturbs, since they're the ones who learn it most thoroughly; for the Journeyman, it should be as much a slog as a joy, lest they forget how to appreciate it later on; and for the Master, it should be so average, workaday, common, etc., that the Journeyman never felt like he became a Master at all, so fresh and exciting and new every moment still seems. The timeless recursion of "I have always been here before." I'm proud of that aphorism, even though it may indicate how Abramovic approaches this aspect of being an Artist in any field: to dominate over whatever she can as a coping mechanism. Perfectionists often do. Either way, thanks Priscilla!
