Wow! Another awesome video on preparing to go upside down. I thought I'd give this a go instead of the handstand practice. I definitely need to work on opening and loosening my shoulders. I love how you incorporate so much strength. Other videos I have followed seem to just flow into these poses but don't build the foundational strength needed to actually hold yourself. You really challenge me with the core exercises and full body movements. Also taking forward your last advice of having fun with these poses/practices. I always come away smiling and I make sure to video myself so I can tweak and see what I'm doing. One day I will need to do a little montage of my journey :P Always saving your videos into a playlist. Thank you for being so amazing!

Oh my goodness !!! Thank you very much for such a sweet and kind message Roisin ! I really appreciate it ! I do believe that "flowing" is not enough for these challenging inversions that require a lot of strength and skills. These poses require repetitions, drills...So I am happy that you choose to push your limits a little and enjoy this ! Keep on practicing - you will get there ! Much love !

You are so right. Most video just focus on stretches and loose aite of the strength part which in my opinion is the most important. You want whatever muscles you stretch to be strong if not you risk injury which I learned the hard way.

Love the variations of sequences ❤️❤️❤️

oh wow !!!! I am very excited and happy for you Theresia !!! Congrats !!! I remember that my pincha took me much longer than a headstand. For this week, it was the hardest day of the challenge 😅😅 I 'll try to practice it more often to get the forearmstand as my own challenge 🤩

Thanks for delving into details!! Been trying to do this since forever, but can’t seem to get over the fear of falling :(
@MarinaAlexeeva3 жыл бұрын
I totally understand that Kylie ! I would recommend the following: strengthen your core. It's the center of your body which holds you together. The more strength you have there, the fewer times you will be falling over. Secondly, falling over into a forearm wheel is normal. We all do it and often on purpose - it is like tik tok move. So work more on your backbends and shoulder mobility and flexibility. And then practice falling onto a wall and couch. How does this sound ?

@@MarinaAlexeeva Aw, thanks for this Marina! But haha I tend to fail at balancing and tilt sideways. Perhaps not properly engaging my core
@MarinaAlexeeva3 жыл бұрын
@@xoxokaili Hmmm.. I myself do not fall to the side from forearm balance. I fall to the side from a handstand - and it is good to do so. Then I will recommend you to hold pincha by the wall for longer - for example 5 sets x 1 min. One foot to the wall and other leg straight up - looking for perfect line.

Hi there :) I just found your channel and I’m so glad I did!! I am seeing in a lot of the comments everyone is mentioning how they are getting stronger and better through your challenge. Do you mind telling me what the challenge schedule is? I have felt like I am not progressing with my yoga practice. How many days a week should we be practicing to get better? I love how fun and encouraging you are :)

Hello !! Welcome to my channel !!! For more than a year I have been creating weekly schedules and uploading them to my IG stories (@yogawithmarina) - all of them are saved in highlights ! You will se they are for 3 different levels. You can still use them ! I also did a few monthly challenges before... For the next couple of month I will be doing a little less as I am expecting my baby girl to arrive but now there are so many classes to try here !! How many times a week - it all depends on your goals and what other activity you do !!!

DAY 2 done!!! i finally realized why i always cant do forearm balance!! when i hold the last pose of the video, i feel my deltoids burning so much and until around 15 second i cant hold it anymore, so i guess it is because i have a week deltoids muscle is that correct?? i learn so much and thank you!!! my lovely marina!!!

I really want to try this out but I can't push up into wheel pose. Do you have any modifications or suggestions to help a beginner get into that pose? Eg can I use blocks to help myself get into it easier?
@MarinaAlexeeva3 жыл бұрын
Hello Ashley ! Pleas me check my recent post on Instagram : wheel pose for beginners (@yogawithmarina) I offered many modifications for this pose. Yes you can use blocks. And you can still complete this practice - hold bridge pose instead of full wheel ! And try a backbend practice on my channel here !!
