As a former Marine I can tell you that 3 months of boot camp was long enough to not scratch my face. It may only be 30 minutes at their post which seems like nothing but try to stand at attention with perfect posture and not move when a mosquito is sucking on your nose. Not as easy as you think. It's all about discipline.

My little brothers are looking right spiffy. :) I remember my first tour of barracks duty. We were given dress blues to wear and I thought that I was going to be looking sharp at the front gate of the base. Instead, I got assigned to the nuke platoon. No need for dress blues, we wore camo's. But I carried a M-203 grenade launcher and enough M-203 and M16 ammo to take the Kremlin! Kill'em all and let God sort them out! Ooo-Rah!

Taking the life of a innocent person is one thing. Defending YOUR life and the lives of those in your immediate vicinity from DEATH or SERIOUS BODILY HARM is called JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE. You won't even get arrested for doing so. Add to that, when you swear an oath to the constitution of your country and have to take the life of a enemy combatant in a justified conflict, that is recognized as COMBAT. Also justified under the Geneva Convention. It's a good thing that there are those of us out here WILLING to defend the shores of this country and the cities we live in so that people like YOU can have a place to hide with the women and children. 🙄

I’d much rather be on the flight line than stand a regular post just bullshitting on my phone and lap top. I can’t think of being in my dress uniform just being a doorman it’ll be really uncomfortable; no one talks about this position lmao

Being so used to the precise snapiness of the 3rd Infantry Old Guard that it just looks weird to me when they open the door and walk outside casually (Credit where crdit is due they still had the setup for actually changing the guard)
