Mariner Of The Seas 2020 - Part 8: Manly Drinks, Dinner, Ice Skating, Kamikaze Karaoke - ParoDeeJay

In this episode, we're closing out our sea day with some time at the Barnacle & Barrel drinking manly cocktails, ice skating in Studio B, a karaoke session where you don't get to choose your song, an 80s dance party in the Royal Promenade, late night snacks at the Windjammer, and lots more shenanigans... huzzah!!
Phase two of MegaVacay2020 is back-to-back cruises aboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner Of The Seas! We sailed from February 3-10, 2020 with stops in Coco Cay and Nassau on both legs. We've completed a week at DisneyWorld, so it's time for some relaxation. What's next on the mega vacay agenda after this sailing? Four MORE weeks of cruising on four different cruise lines!

Truth! We normally don't roll with the drink package, but since we scored this on the $18/day "glitch" from a few months back, we definitely made use of it!! :P

@@parodeejay totally agree we had the liquor package on our october cruise 49 per day but only my wife got it on the February cruise (different rooms) 69 per day.

Jay - probably good idea that you didn’t try ice skating after that martini!! And the Rob Roy - Robitussin?? - YUCK BTW - I took ice skating as one of my college courses & got an A (but I started ice skating when I was about 5 yrs old). I love hearing Dee sing & now I love hearing Jay sing too (something I cannot & will never do - karaoke- the Singing Police would come & arrest me)!

We love to hang out in the Pub when waiting for stuff. (or Sorrentos, but we won't say how many slices of pizza we may or may not consume in one trip). The pub always has different names, but they usually look the same... and has a nice vibe!

They do have in-app chat, yes. We've never used it, so I'm not sure of the pricing, but surely it can't be too crazy expensive, ha ha... it seems to be $5-10 per person on most cruise lines. ~Jay

I experienced the same bad weather that day, the only difference is I was flying from Pensacola, Florida to Washington, D. C. It's in the beginning of my Washington, D. C. vlog I uploaded last week. We had a LOT of turbulence. Oh my!

FYI: friends of ours who always book an inside cabin on RCI on this size ship always choose "let cruise pick your room" and end up with an upgrade almost every time. I can't be without a balcony or window so i have not tried it.

The James Bond martini is called a Vesper (after his girlfriend at the time *SPOILER* It didn't end well.) It's one of my hubby's favorites! Please limit yourself to two!

O another thing Carnival did that was maybe not new but new to us. They don’t leave a basket of bread on your table anymore. They bring some around and let u pick what u want. Which i think is good because I always hate leaving 5 pieces of bread every dinner at the table to be thrown away.
