@tonyr.34355 ай бұрын
Just like I called it 1 1/2 months ago that the Astros would catch the M's, I'll go out on a limb here and say it again, this will be the 47th straight year without so much as a whiff of a WS appearance. I believe we are the only MLB team that can say that! Woot! You see? We're good at that kinda stuff.
Mariners fans: This is the normal ebb and flow of athletics. The pattern is: out of the blocks fast, slow down and dip and catch your breath, then get hot and pull away to go into the play-offs. Don't get down on the team. They are a great team. They will pick back up and get a big lead after the break. This is your year. You think it's tough being a fan? Try being an Astros fan like myself. We will be back next year. This is the Mariner's year. All the best to you.
@Defossion15 ай бұрын
Except the M's can't produce runs. We rank 26th out of the 30 MLB teams in runs per game. Our early season success was a product of our RIDICULOUSLY awesome pitching. Our pitchers are now looking like mere mortals again, and the offense isn't stepping up. Unless something changes, it is NOT our year. I've been a fan since they turned the lights on in the Kingdome. Sometimes the speed of the music changes, but it's always the same song. This team will always break your heart. Always. It's one of the most immutable truths of the universe. Go Mariners!
@marshalbaek55805 ай бұрын
@@Defossion1 I hear you. Maybe you make a trade for a guy that can get the bats going. But I believe great pitching is the key to a Championship. You have the hardest part in place. You know Judge (Yankees) batting avg was in the tank 2 or so years ago. He changed his swing and BOOM. The bats can heat up. Great pitching is forged over decades. Like I said, you have the toughest part covered. Keep the faith man.

Julio Rodriguez has been such a Black Hole during this roadtrip, that Disney is suing him for copyright infringement - now 3 for 29 with 1 BB & 6K's. Another pitiful performance by the offense - 6 hits & another 11 K's. Castillo continues to wilt under any kind of pressure forcing Servais to go to the "gas can" brigade out of the bullpen.
