I used to drill new team-mates in Dust 514 and my biggest pet peeve in shooters in people walking down the center of the hallway and how they check corners. If you're walking down the center of a hallway, I can't shoot past you. Pick left or right, I'll take the other side. That way we can both shoot. If you're on the left side of the hallway, you need to be look right and vice versa. Your field of view is greater that way as you can see into doors on the opposite side much better than doors on your side. Walking down a hall single file just gets everyone killed and if you're spaced out the enemy has a harder time trying to tag both of you. There is zero advantage to going single file down center lane. The same goes for corners. If you're on a left hand corner, you need to sweep from right to left AND WALK ACROSS to the other side as you sweep left. Your shoulders/body stick out farther than you can see. Number #1 reason people die in FPS games is because they don't do this shit and they get shot for stupid, stupid reasons.

He won the Silver Star for responding to an ambush that killed Capt. Brent Morel. After a lengthy service in the Marines, he went on to work for the state dept. and CIA (or some other 3-letter agency, maybe DIA--he did not elaborate). He now is a part of the youtube channel Savage Actual. Gameology probably doesn't like it when people promote other channels here but who cares lol. They run an interesting channel.

Saying that it’s sensitive content is one thing, but I’ll be damned if people are gonna call that mission controversial as if that type of stuff didn’t happen everyday out in the world by Marines and other military. Then my nephew of all people got the bug out of my ass, made me sit down and play one. Now I'm a fan, a lot of it is bullshit but I realize now it's a story you're playing through, there's nothing wrong with it, and because of myself talking to him and the fact these games gave him a further interest my nephew now proudly serves in the 10th mountain division. I also was amazed when he played the WWII variant how serious he became and how much he started to read on it. So I asked him what was up because he was younger and didn't show a history interest. He told me "We can't forget them". Damn, maybe CoD has a place after all.

This is how you make suspenseful gameplay. It doesn't have to be super fast action packed with music blasting in the background. The lack of music was one of my favorite aspects to this mission.

It's one of the worst parts of sweeping houses, you will invariably encounter something like this scenario. In both Iraq and Afghanistan, it was extremely common for the insurgents to strap up innocent people with bombs or use bystanders as shields/cover. Parents would often grab their children to either protect them from harm (and possibly get shot in the process because we couldn't see what they were grabbing or to use them as cover. Children are considered expendable in many parts of the Middle East and some taliban, in my personal experience, had zero qualms about using children as bullet sponges.

This mission had me hooked. I was so immersed. Ive never shot a gun before, hoping to change that some day, but just wow. All the chaos, all the silence, the lighting... incredible realism in this mission.

Fabulous SLOTH ah yes, those pussys who’ve fought so others don’t have to, who have watched their friends die or been injured so badly they are forever in a coma. Man yeah fuck those guys and their sensetive asses. Fuck you, you insensitive asshole.

Jason is especially an expert, he gave these little tid bits that really displayed his expertise. When he said "or a vest" to the guy maybe not being dead and when he said "keeping the gun close around a corner so a guy doesn't grab your barrel" damn man, really good stuff!
