That breaching charge on the wall is actually thermite which is way worse idea then you suggested with C4. Thermite gets really hot realky fast, use that thing in a building and you just got yourself a nice burning house.

Something they didn't mention about concentina wire: it is pointy, but it doesn't really cut you. It is designed to grab clothing and hold you in place so it can stop your mobility, until a nearby gunner can get to you. It is crazy strong. A triple strand (3 rolls) of concentina wire can actually get tangles in the treads of a tank and stop it. It's incredible, but it is made for gripping, not cutting.

General grievous You can see FSB members doing what is called “confidence training” which basically means that they put each other at risk with real ammo to gain...well, confidence. I don’t know if the SSO or GRU does it too (I would bet that yes, they do) but the only videos I’ve seen are from FSB members or former members.

Rainbow six did used to be fairly realistic. Rainbow six 1 through Raven Shield were not that far off. Vegas is when it became more of an arcade game. People don’t want tactical realism anymore. It doesn’t sell.

I'd love to see them go back and be shown all the different operators on offense and defense. Instead of them just being used in-game, but also the group they're coming from. Professionals like them would know at least rudimentary knowledge about the SAS and the GIGN to bounce ideas around.

its because of the FOV, and they didnt notice the marker saying 25m. pause at 2:07 and look how close the hand is to the screen. siege is max 90 FOV whereas humans actually have about 180 or so. anyone who has shot a pistol in real life knows u dont put the pistol that close to ur face. u can do the same thing with ur own hand and see how close u would need to place ur hand to get the same thing as in the game. since it's so "zoomed in" in the game, it looks like 100m to them (plus theyre looking at a TV from far away). so what's happening is they're judging it as if the screen was their real-life FOV and assuming the guy is holding the gun properly about 2 ft away from his face, but in actuality the game "zooms in", which we cant do with our eyes

I love these guys but that comment was just plain stupid, does not matter the fov, does not matter he tv, there is no acceptable reason for them to say it is 100 meters. It is like 12-15 meters MAX.
