Males and females should have the same standards
@cleibealvesteixeirajunior59237 жыл бұрын
But combat situations don't comply to gender differences. If the female marine is going to do the same job as the male one, she should go through the same tests...it might mean less females in the corps, but standards should not be lowered in the name of gender inclusion.
@olmjuy117 жыл бұрын
That was the point of the Corps changing the standards. Instead of the alternative flex arm hang, females now do pull ups. Both have the option to do push ups, they just don't receive the opportunity for a perfect score.

@sussin96517 жыл бұрын
Robert328851 a lot of push-ups and crunches every night, max out. and then once you get stronger move to lifting weights. don't lift heavy weights though, you want lean muscle so you can breathe easier and move faster. so lift some lighter weights but do more reps
@FormerDevilDog17 жыл бұрын
Run, run, and run some more. Then, like Memelord said, just max out your pushups and situps everyday (and pullups if you have a place to do them)
@T33NAG3NINJA7 жыл бұрын
Robert328851 Go to a park or your back yard and do 100ft sprints till you think you're going to die. Alternate between sprints and running a mile every day. Shoot for the best time you can on the mile runs and eventually move them up to a mile and a half to two miles. If you have a doorframe try getting a pull up bar for it, do as many pull ups as you can whether your palms are facing you or facing away from you, you can even change grips so long as your feet do not touch the ground. Push ups will help if you keep doing them every day, my suggestion is to do them every time you get kinda bored, but don't over-do it. Sit ups are crucial to your performance on almost everything you will do and also your sit up score. When you are working out make sure to go all the way up to the knees, but when you're doing an IST or PFT get your elbows to just touch the thighs because it saves a good 4 inches of work. Planks for 60-120 seconds at a time in sets of 3-5 with breaks help with sit ups. Good luck and Semper Fidelis!
@BarracksSi7 жыл бұрын
Run and lift. Run 5-6 days a week; if you're new, run for a given period of time (like 30 minutes) and try to go farther each week. Lift weights; pushing things one day, pulling the next, legs the third, and repeat. Crunches; do a hundred no matter how long it takes (one workout) and do max reps "pyramid" style - 2:00, break, 1:30, break, 1:00, break, and 0:30. Go talk to a recruiter and say, "Teach me." Or go the simple route, get P90X, and follow the plan.

Hey can you give some tips of how can I increase pushups. i am 17 and can do 62 in a row
@SuperColonel912 жыл бұрын
@@rookie1491 62 in a row ain't bad...is it no more than 2 Minutes? My best advice is to try to get to 65 in 2 Minutes. Try to do 5 sets of 25 Reps. Try to have the 25 Reps completed in 30 seconds each. Do this for a month. Then time yourself in 2 Minutes and go from there. Keep raising the bar by 5 Reps. So if you can do 65, try for 70, then 75, 80 etc. And soon before you know it you'll be pumping out 100 Plus Reps In 2 Minutes! I also recommend that you do this routine for Sit Ups! I sure hoped that I helped. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask! Then once you have Mastered that do

Notice how his head is facing down, to where his nose almost touches the ground. I fucking HATED when some instructors/judges would tell me to lift my head to a forward facing position. That is not correct 1, and 2 it would close the windpipe making it harder to breath thus less air thus more fatigue and less push ups.
