The pain, the sadness, yet a slight sense of relief and kindness. Kindness does not signify weakness. No truer is that fact than in the mortuary services. Soldiers who go out of their way to see to it that the fallen find their way home truly are a rare and noble breed.
@chrischristian66477 жыл бұрын
In this case a marine, not a soldier, but that's okay. It's offensive to call a marine a soldier. You can call them service members of the United States Armed Forces if you're referring to all veterans like this fine young marine and gentleman. I'm telling you this so you won't be screamed at or criticized by others on the internet. R.I.P to all who lost they're lives in all branches of the US military and those who can't be with us today. Back in the 90's I was the senior member of a burial detail for a retired MSgt. He served from 1950 to 1970. When we arrived at the funeral home prior to the service. I alerted the funeral home staff the MSgt's EGAs were incorrect and the anchors must be pointed inboard. "Is it that important to disturb the body in order to make the change"? I said I'm sure the MSgt would not want to be viewed in his uniform while it was incorrect. We were asked to leave the area while they made the correction. When the service started the MSgt was squared away.
