MarinoBus is a long distance bus operator. Their coaches run the length of the country. Small wonder that yours pulled into Rimini bus stop only 10 minutes late, it was probably coming from a town 800 km away!

Imo, marinobus has not a lot of coaches so if you are constrained by time you can't use it, but it's generally cheap. Flixbus can be cheap as well but the coaches are usually worse. Trenitalia, if booked in advance, can be very convenient and comfortable if you choose the right seats. I get that it's not super fast everywhere, but it's generally very much ok

I have been on some longer coach trips and they are pretty nice especially the seats that are also comfortable.

Good video! I'll be visiting San Marino one day next week and will need to get back to Bologna from Rimini later in the day. I'll give MarinoBus a try. I'm also booked on the Frecciarossa to Florence a day or two after so it will be interesting to compare the two! Did you buy your ticket on the bus or online?

Great effort in discovering the my region (I was born in Bologna). Anyway, I did not even know that Marino would sell tickets just between Bologna and Rimini, because usually they sell tickets for the longer legs. Megabus also operated in Italy between 2014 and 2016, but then gave way to Flixbus

Lux Express coaches across the Baltics were the best I took. Took three coaches from Tallinn to Warsaw where I stopped in Riga and Vilnius. Seats were very comfortable, each seat had entertainment screens (Same as IFE) and wasn't expensive.

Scott, did the guy at the bus station catch the same bus as you? All the local bus companies where I live have apps with all the information needed including live maps showing real time locations of their buses. Did that bus company not have anything like that? Very handy when waiting at a bus stop.

Worst bus was a bus from Costa Rica into Nicaragua oh my 5 hours of getting more and more cramped but thankfully we had the back seats I feel sorry fir the later passengers who had the fold out seats that bridged the gap in the isle they had no seat backs 😂😂😂 Was certainly an adventure ❤

Thanks for this Scott. Buses seem the same in most countries (inc the UK) in that you need to have local knowledge of them to use them comfortably. By the way, how tall are you? I'm 6'2" and usually need to sit in the disabled seats to fit my knees in.

Everyone at travel sites advises that when in Italy take the train, not the bus, yet most of my train experiences in Italy have ranged from awful to OK but nothing special. Just bookmarked Marinobus as an alternative option for next trip. Thanks.
