I’ve always kind of liked the feel of Mario Kart 7. Though it’s not as pretty and detailed as Mario Kart 8, the track designs and the visuals have a strange nostalgic simplicity. I hope we get more of these tracks in the DLC for Mario Kart 8, especially Rainbow Road, which is one of the best Rainbow Roads in my opinion.

Anyone still hanging around in 2023? Have to say with the addition of Rock rock mountain and RR7 to 8 that’s pretty much every single decent track this game has to offer is on deluxe now. (Id defo have had peach circuit or Daisy hills over toad circuit though) This game really did have some banger race tracks. Will always remember it fondly.

Tracks I would like in MK8 DLC: - Airship Fortress - Dino Dino Jungle - Luigi's Mansion - Maka Wuku - Wario Shipwreck - Shy Guy Bazaar - Daisy Hills (There's only room for 8 more tracks to this day, but I hope some of these get featured. Plus Delfino Square!)

@@maxwellr5251 8 doesn't have "good" mechanics, the tricks in Wii are more useful and + you can drift whilte doing a tricks which will curve your jump etc... Bikes can wheelie for one less extra mini turbo etc, in Mario Kart 8 you just touch someone for a mini turbo which is useless

I’ll be honest, I played less Mario kart 3DS since at school I was one of the only kids to have a 3DS (most of my classmates had DS’) so I never really got too attached to the original stages, coming to this video made me realize how much I did enjoy the stages when I played them Especially Shy guy Bazaar, Rock Rock mountain and DK jungle

I remember being so pissed that they basically had the four best wii tracks as retros on a handheld. But also in general it felt like they used a lot of the fan faves as retro courses and I felt like I’d never get to see them on a home console and it seemed like it was a waste lol. At least now we know Nintendo isn’t afraid to bring back some tracks over and over again.

Imo it’s my least favorite, there is so many things that frustrate me about this game, it could of been a fav if only they fixed the problems with this game, I love the tracks but to get to one I need to play a whole Grand Prix, they could of fixed it in an update but it’s too late for that now sadly.

I really enjoy playing Mario Kart 7 to this day. It may not have an absolutely amazing battle mode like Mario Kart 64 or Mario Kart DS, 2 racers in 1 kart like Double Dash, mission mode like Mario Kart DS, an amazing roster like Mario Kart Wii, or the most in terms of quantity like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but I feel this game is often overlooked. It has easily the best selection of retro courses in the series with tons of fan favorites such as Wii Coconut Mall, DS Airship Fortress, SNES Rainbow Road and many more, one of the best selections of nitro courses including Music Park, Rock Rock Mountain, Piranha Plant Slide and many more. It has the best Rainbow Road which is very possibly my favorite track in the entire series as well as the best Mario Circuit in the series. It also introduced gliding, underwater driving, cart customization, and sections for a few courses instead of laps. I really love all these new additions to this day.

I've noticed that the iridescent effect on Mariokart 7 rainbow road doesn't work on this emulator. You've got to see it on hardware, it's beautiful! Edit- Oh, It kinda does, but it's a lot more obvious on hardware.
