9:23 9:28 I don't like how there can be two shocks in this game, I like how it makes it more fun ,but I think they should be spaced out a little bit and be rental items. In Mario Kart Wii & 7 it was somewhat easier because you can tell/predict when last place has the shock and also the fact that there can only be one shock in play. Not to mention it's even easier in 7 & 8 Wii U, mostly MK7, because you can see when last place has the shock making it even easier. I would start with combo with moderately high acceleration and handling to start, use roller wheels. Once you are more experienced you can start lowering your handling and raising your speed.

Look for something that is really lightweight, and learn how to brake propertly.

ThePackMan high acceleration and decent speed are the best combo. Roller wheels are an absolute necessity most of the time, and every other kart is fair game as long as they have low to moderate weight.
