AWWW YEAH if there was an online game I knew of that was just some form of shine battle it'd be one of my favorites.

This is emulated. I don't have a way to record a real DS screen.

If you're talking about only keeping one balloon, that might not have been deliberate. I'm pretty sure there is at least one match in this video where I died from not inflating the extra balloon, because it's just not something you do in other Mario Kart games.
