I'm playing around with a hack for the Mario Kart DS Kiosk Demo made by Marioiscool246 that makes the debug menu visible.
(The Lakitu countdown signal is an AR code included with the hack)

Where was this mod when I was a kid? I was obsessed with Mario Kart DS Beta lore back in the day, so I'm really happy to see this. BTW, what's the difference between the various CPU modes?

The text is custom, from what Marioiscool246 could find there is no text for the debug menu anywhere in the Kiosk Demo. He had to make the text, and program the rendering for it all on his own.

Poltergust 4000 might have something to do with that

@@mario-kart-nick-and-dkr-fan There's no real evidence that the Poultergust 4000 was ever intended for E.Gadd. From what we can tell E.Gadd never made it far enough into development to have any Karts made for him at all. The Poultergust 4000 is assigned to Luigi in the kiosk demo, even. Which makes sense given that Luigi was the one who actually used it in the context of Luigi's Mansion. The idea that the Poultetgust 4000 was intended for E.Gadd remains largely unsubstantiated with the only "evidence" being a relation to the Luigi's Mansion series.
