@@alexanderjackson9239 I wished they added more decorations (like bringing back the ball in the center court that was removed in MK7, adding some flowers and other tropical plants to make it prettier and tropical, etc.), moving cars again, anti-gravity on the stairs/ramp sections, etc. But I personally don’t hate the remake, and I don’t think it deserves a lot of hate. Nintendo probably wanted to modernize it to match the decor of malls today, which is why it looks a bit bland looking, since most malls today look bland looking due to today’s design trend.

I've played every game in this series countless times, I've been playing them since i was 3 years old, I know every single track in the series' music off by heart and have memorised every single course in this entire series to date to the point where I can accurately draw any courses map from memory just by hearing a course's name, I can tell you most item box placements and can perfectly revise the order of every cup and every course in every game. but never have I ever noticed the Piantas on the escalators in this course, telling you which one goes up.

Imagine if there was a “Steer Clear of Obstacles” mission in Mario Kart Tour where you have to drive through this course in a Black Friday setting without getting caught in the madness. The stores would open their gates at the elevator ding and after the one second of the drums playing, the customers barged into the stores, there would be all sorts of Miis, koopas, piantas, etc. you would have to avoid running through the mall and in and out of stores as well as pianta security guards chasing shoplifters through the mall, and it would all be a hilarious tribute to the Black Friday madness and Coconut Mall memes.
